Glenties Notes on September 14th 2002

Congratulations to Brenda and James O’ Donnell, Dublin on the birth on Monday 2nd September 2002 of their third child, a little sister for Conor and James. James is a son of Mary and the late Jimmy O’Donnell, Lower Main St. Glenties.

Congratulations to Niamh and Jim Mc Hugh, Spiddal, Co. Galway on the birth recently of their first child, a baby boy. Jim is a son of Frankie and Mary Mc Hugh, Ardconnell, Glenties.

Congratulations and best wishes for many more years among us to Annie Mc Gowan (nee Devenney), Ardconnell, Glenties who celebrated her 90th Birthday last week.

Congratulations to Bridie Doherty, Mill Road, Glenties, who won 4300 Euro on the Dungloe GAA lotto and to Paula Hegarty, Ard Patrick, Glenties who won 2000 Euro on the Glenties GAA lotto.

Congratulations to Joanne O’Dwyer, Ard Mc Gill, Glenties and Burt Kearns from Co. Meath who were married in Glenties on Friday last.

Congratulations to the winners of the Fishing Competition which was held on Lough Finn, Fintown on Sunday 1st September 2002.
