World Meeting of Families 2018

We Welcome Pope Francis to Ireland

The Raphoe Diocese Opening Ceremony for World Meeting of Families 2018 will take place in St Eunans Cathedral, Letterkenny on Tuesday 21st August at 7.30pm. All 26 Dioceses of Ireland will celebrate together in their respective Cathedral Churches. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Important Information for those Travelling to Dublin or Knock
For those travelling to the World Meeting of Families events over the coming week we would ask each of you to be aware of items that are Prohibited. These include various types of chairs/stools, large umbrellas and cooler boxes. A list of all these items is also available in the Sacristy and Parochial House.
Before commencing your journey, visit the website regarding travel and other practical information. The Official Traffic Plan can be viewed at www.garda.ie. Pilgrims are advised to study the plan in advance of travelling to both Dublin and Knock Shrine.

Papal Mass, Phoenix Park: Tickets for coach travel commenced issuing this weekend. When we have finalised our travel arrangements, we will be in contact with everyone who has booked their seat on the bus. Details of prohibited items can be found by visiting www.worldmeeting2018.ie/em/Programme/Final-Mass.

Papal Visit, Knock Shrine: Those who have tickets to attend the visit to Knock Shrine are advised to read the information available on the Knock Shrine website. Angelus text, a hymn sheet and general guidance/information on the liturgical events will be available for download/printing in the days prior to the event at www.knockshrine.ie/wmof2018

LYIT Course Information Day: Letterkenny Institute of Technology is holding a course information day for prospective students on Wednesday 22 August from
11 am – 4 pm.
