Congratulations to the senior team and management on the winning the league for the for the second time in the clubs history last Saturday after beating Ardara in a league play off in Letterkenny 0-14 to 1-7.

The Strictly Come Dancing was a outstanding success last Saturday night in the Highlands Hotel. Congratulations to all the dancers who were all fantastic on the night and set such a high standard and a special congratulations to the winners Maria Craig and Dermott “Brick” Molloy and we would like to thank all the dancers who took part for all their time and deadication they give during the past few months. Great credit must go to the hard working committee and all their helpers for making it such a success on the night.

The club draw was held at the Strictly and the winners were 1st prize 1,000 Euro James Mc Dermott, Main Street Glenties, 2nd prize 42 inch TV Ann Marie Brennan, Ardara, 3rd prize Laptop Eamon Mc Gill, Fintown, 3rd prize Digital Camera, Sandy Mc Devitt, Glen Road Glenties and 5th prize of 100 Euro went to Auveen Gallagher, Ard Conall Glenties.

The club are holding a Scrap Saturday this Saturday so bring along your scrap metal to the club car park from 9am to 4pm. The club will take the following items for recycling irons, kettles, empty food cans, saucepans, cutlery, ironing boards, fire grates, sink tops, old cast iron baths, solid fuel cookers, food mixers, radiators, drink cans, mobile phones, fire places, old boilers and ranges, plumbers coppers, electrican wire, waste electirc equipment, aluminum, brass, copper, lead, cast iron, stainless steel, bicyles, go carts, lawnmowers, trampolines, garden gates, oil tanks, coal bunkers, gas heaters, golf irons, wheel barrows, cement mixers, old scaffolding, steel bars, sheep wire, fenching wire, old cars, car and tractor batteries, starter motors, engines, car radiators, wheel trims. The scrap will be removed by a reputable recycling company and all the money raised will be given to the club.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to John Mc Cool and Martin Joyce. The jackpot is 2,100 Euro.

There are 11 people left in Last Man Standing and the list is up on the club website of those remaining and the teams they have picked.

The AGM will be on Friday 25th November at in the clubhouse. Nominations and motion forms are availble from club officers and must be returned to club secretary Patsy Furey before Wednesday 23rd November.

The Minor Board AGM will be on this Friday night at 7.30pm in the clubhouse. There will be a excuetive meeting this Friday night in the clubhouse at 9pm.
