Congratulations to Rose and all her Mentors and the U16 Naomh Conaill Girls on becoming County Champions on Saturday last with a victory over Moville in Castlefin.
Naomh Conaill would like to give a massive Thanks to Martin Regan, Cathal Corey all the background mentors and the Senior panel for a fantastic year we had, winning the County Gaeltacht, Donegal senior County Championship and only six days later to win the All Ireland Gaeltacht. What a fantastic year this group of people have giving us and we are all proud of every one of you.

The Harvest Fair is only around the corner so we would like to ask all club members to help out to sell our club tickets the fair weekend and also to get involved and get a gang/team together and join in on the float parade as much a success as it was last year bigger and better this year.
Its Championship week again as Naomh Conaill senior and reserve travel to O’Donnell Park Letterkenny on Sunday 23rd August to take on St Eunans with a throw in time of 4.30pm and 6.00pm in round 2 of the Donegal senior Championship. Naomh Conaill came out on top of round 1 with a 2-14 to 1-8 Senior and 2-7 to 0-4 Reserve win at home vs Dungloe. Next week Naomh Conaill will travel to Ardara in the final round of the group stage.

Membership will be taken in the clubhouse on Friday 27th between 6-8pm and on Monday 30th 6.30-7.30pm. These will be the last two registration nights. Anyone wishing to play for the club this year underage or senior must pay their membership before 31st March. Adult membership €40 or €100 with entry into weekly lotto. Youth membership €20 or family’s with a number of children its €20 each for first two children and €10 per child after.

There is an executive meeting date change this week from Wednesday night to Friday 27th March at 8pm in the clubhouse.
The club are hosting a family table quiz on Good Friday in the Community Centre Glenties at 8pm, adult team of 4 and under 16 table of 5. There will be tea and coffee served at interval, so please come along and support your club and enjoy a family fun quiz.

Congratulations to our Senior and reserve teams on their victory over St Eunans on Sunday last in Glenties. Both teams who ended top of their groups to reach the quarter final with mouth-watering ties, Seniors who were drawn against neighbouring town Ardara and to be played in Donegal town on sat 18th at 4pm and the reserves play Dungloe in Ballybofey on sun 19th at 5.30pm. Approximately 175 running and walking enthusiasts turned up in last Wednesday evening for the annual Naomh Conaill 5k. A big thank you to all who attended on what threatened to be a wet evening but stayed mostly dry throughout. Local GAA stars Leo Mc Loone and Dermot “Brick” Molloy were on hand to present the prizes afterwards. Ciaran Doherty from the Letterkenny AC club was first home in an impressive time of 15.46. He was followed home by local man Dermot Brennan (Finn Valley AC) in a time of 16.47. First home in the Ladies section was Caroline Boyle, London (formerly Ardara) in a time of 20.48.In the over 40s section first lady home was Margaret Sweeney from Lettermacaward and Finbar Gallagher (Innishowen AC) was first in the mens. The under 16 girls was won by Ellie Mc Donnell and the boys section was won by Charlie Mc Donnell. A huge thank you to all who helped in any way to making the evening a success especially Seanie McDevitt. The ladies who baked all day and then served the tea which was enjoyed by all after the race. Thank you also to the Highlands Hotel and Kennedys Bar and restaurant who sponsored prizes on the evening.
