Athlete of the Year
Congratulations to Mary Mc Loone, Cleengort, Glenties, member of Tír Chonaill AC, who received the ‘Athlete of the Year’ Award at the Co. Donegal Athletics Awards Night held recently in the Finn Valley Centre.

Sympathy
Sincere sympathy is extended to Josie Mc Gill, Station Road, Paddy Mc Gill, Meenahalla, Glenties, Sarah Mc Glynn, Fintown on the death on Friday 5th February 2010 of their sister Annie Mc Gill, Fintown, and formerly of Meenalargan and Glenties, who was buried in the New Graveyard, Glenties after1.30 p.m. Requiem Mass in Fintown on Sunday; also to her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the relatives and friends of Jane Mc Monagle, formerly of Fintown and Gate House, Straboy, Glenties, who died in England recently and was buried after11.00a.m. Requiem Mass in Fintown on Sunday last.

Fundraising Pub Quiz
A Pub Quiz in aid of the Building Project in Africa will be held in Paddy’s Bar on Friday night 12th February at 9.30 p.m.

Thanks
Stephanie Hegarty and Mellissa Byrne would like to thank everyone who attended the St. Bridget’s Cross Night in the Highlands Hotel in aid of their African Building Project. They would also like to thank the Committee for all their help.

Family Mass
The 11.00 a.m. on Sunday 14th February will be celebrated as the Family Mass for which the Children of the Parish will prepare the Liturgy.

Art Classes
Johnny Boyle is resuming his Watercolour Classes in the Highlands Hotel shortly. Anyone interested please contact the hotel for details at 9551111.

Guest Tea & Dancing
Guest Tea & Dancing in the Highlands Hotel, Glenties on Friday 26th February in aid of the New Hall in Fintown. Music is by Sean Mc Monagle, also Irish Dancing. Anyone interested in Hosting a Table please forward your name to Fr. Gerard Cunningham, Parochial House, Fintown at 9546107.

Special Olympics Collection
Special Olympics will hold their Annual Church Gate Collection this weekend. All monies will go towards training children and adults, with an intellectual disability, in a variety of Olympic style sports.
