Glenties Notes 13th August 2014

Sympathy:
Sincere sympathy is extended to Patricia O’Donnell, Tullyard and Caroline Breslin, Station Road, Glenties on the death in Letterkenny Hospital, of their father, Connie Hanlon, Madavagh Lettermacaward on Sunday 3rd August 2014; also to the other members of the family and all the relatives and friends.

Glenties Community Action Group:
“The Annual Glenties Harvest Fair Day takes place on Friday12th September and we are aware that many people want to see more traditional features at the Harvest Fair. We would like to bring back all crafts and displays of years gone by on the Fair Day and are making an effort to do so. If you are involved in any of these crafts, such as, basket making, wood turning, tinsmith, rope making, etc. we want to hear from you; alternatively if you know anyone involved in such traditional crafts and displays, we would appreciate having the names of such people passed on to us, so we can contact them. Bingo:
The winners at the Bingo in the Community Centre, Glenties were – € 25 winners – Carmel Fitzgerald, Anne Whyte, Kathleen Griffin and Mary Murray, € 50 winners – Inseult Sheehan, Rosaleen Melly, Brenda Reid, Mary Ward, Rosaleen Gallagher, Rose Mc Groarty, Emma Doherty and Rose Mc Fadden, € 60 winner – Loretta Doherty; €100 Winners – Patsy Ginty, Mary Murray, Mary Heeney, Liz Buckley, Bridie Kieman, Teresa Bonner, Ann McDyre, John McLoone, Bernadette Gallagher, Anne Whyte, Nellie Maguire, € 150 winners – Isobelle McLoone and Ann Marie Cunningham

Thanks:
Donegal Leprosy Fund in aid of The Foreign Missions would like to thank everyone who supported their Church Gate Collection on 2nd and 3rd August. The amount collected was € 473.97. All monies will go directly to the poor in Africa, and other parts, without expenses or costs.

Part time Cleaner:
A Part time Cleaner is wanted in St. Riaghan’s N. S., Drimnacrosh. Apply in writing to – The Principal, St Riaghan’s N.S., Drimnacrosh, Glenties.

Glenties Community Centre:
Bingo every Tuesday night in The Community Centre at 9 p.m.

Snooker:
Snooker room is open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

CE Scheme:

Sheep Dog Trials:
Sheep Dog trials takes place at Church Road, Glenties beside GAA field on Saturday 16th August at 4 p.m. and Sunday 17thAugust at 9 a.m.
