Glenties Notes 29th October 2014

Thanks:
The Connaghan Family would like to thank everyone who came to Frank’s month’s mind mass on Friday 10th October. Thank you to all who called to the community centre afterwards, brought home baking, or who gave donations. A special thank you to the ladies and gentlemen who looked after everyone on the night. The amount raised for the Donegal Hospice was € 2, 026. Thank you all very much.

Bingo Winners:
The winners at the Bingo in the Community Centre Glenties on Tuesday 21st October were – € 25 winners – Nancy Gill and Molly Harkin, € 40 winner – Ann Timoney; € 50 Winners – Mary Duffy, Mary Boyle, Liz Buckley, Cecelia Campbell, Mary Boyle, Willie Mc Neilis, Maura Gallagher, Francis Cunningham, Margaret Melly, Amanda O’ Connell, Maureen Gildea, Kathleen Kenny, Amanda O’ Connell and Ann Furey, € 100 Winners – Emer Doherty, Nan Doherty, Lettie Doherty, Nora Gallagher, Fay Moore, Ann Furey, Rosemary Whelan, Annie Boyle, € 300 Winner – Sally Mc Guigan.

Glenties Community Centre:
Bingo held in Glenties Community Centre every Tuesday Night at 9 pm.

Snooker:
Snooker room is open Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sunday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Tai Chi:
Tai Chi every Wednesday night 8 p.m. – 9.30.p.m.

New CE Scheme:
New CE scheme started on 22nd September 2014, any one willing to start contact 087 9695053 for more details. FAS criteria apply.

Bowls:
Bowls every Monday night.

Novena of Masses for the Dead:
Every Mass from Sunday 2nd November until Monday 10th November, in The Church of the Church of the Holy Family, Edeninfagh, and in St.Connell’s Church, Glenties, will be offered for those who are named in the Dead Lists. Special envelopes, containing Dead Lists, are available at the door of the Church. The completed lists should be returned by Sunday 2nd November, to be placed on the Altar for the Masses. Please do not leave envelopes with donations for Masses in or around the church. .The envelopes will be kept in a secure place between Masses.

Confession Times in Glenties:
Friday 31st October – Confession immediately after 7.30 p.m. Mass; Saturday 1st November – Confession after11.00 a.m. Mass & after 7.30 p.m. Mass Please note – there will be NO Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament this week.

Confession Times in Edeninfagh:
Sunday 2nd November – Confession after 12 mid-day Mass
