Glenties Notes 7th August 2014

Naomh Conaill 5K:
The annual Naomh Conaill 5k Run / Walk takes place on Wednesday 13th August at 7 p.m. starting from the Clubhouse. Come out and support your local Club by running / walking or take along the buggy. Registration is from 6 p.m. There is ample parking and full changing / shower facilities. Tea and refreshments will be served immediately after the run / walk. A bouncy castle will also be on site to keep the smaller children entertained (weather permitting). Entry fee is € 8 for Adults and € 3 for under 16’s. All home-baking would be very much appreciated on the evening. Contact 086-8656312.

Bingo:
The winners at the Bingo in the Community Centre Glenties on Tuesday 29th July were – €20 winners – Phyllis Gallagher, Breege Roarty and Patricia Molloy; € 25 winners – Brown Kid and Carmel Fitzgerald, €40 winner – Margaret Gillespie; € 50 – winners – Mary Kennedy, John Boyle, Martin McTaggart, Mary Doherty, Maureen Gildea, Claire Traynor, Liz Buckley, Rose McFadden, Mary Furey, Rose McFadden, Paula Hegarty, Adelle Dooley and Hugh Gallagher, €100 winners – Anne Mc Dyer, Marian Ward, Frankie Gallagher, Mary McMonagle, Mary Kennedy, Bella McGill, Eimear Doherty and Kathleen Griffin, €300 winner -Ann Byrne.

Glenties Community Centre:
Bingo every Tuesday night in The Community Centre at 9 p.m.

Snooker:
Snooker room is open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

CE Scheme:
New CE scheme starts on 22nd September 2014, anyone willing to start contact 074 9557880 for more details. FAS criteria apply.

Sheep Dog Trials:
Sheep Dog trials takes place at Church Road, Glenties beside GAA field on Saturday 16th August at 4 p.m. and Sunday 17thAugust at 9 a.m.

Graveyard Mass in Edeninfagh:
Mass will be celebrated in Edeninfagh Graveyard next Sunday 10th August at 3.00 p.m.

Bus from Glenties to Knock Shrine:
Mc Geehan Coaches will operate a coach service for the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock on Saturday 16th August. The Pilgrimage will be led by Most Rev. Philip Boyce, Bishop of Raphoe. .Mass at 3 p.m. with Anointing of the Sick and Special Blessing of the Sick during Mass.
