Glenties Notes October 16th 2014

Harvest Fair Day Collection:
The Friends of Letterkenny Hospital Collection on the Harvest Fair Day in Glenties amounted to € 1385. Thanks to everyone who supported this very worthy cause.

The winners at the Bingo on Tuesday 7th October in the Community Centre, Glenties were – € 25 Winners – Patsy Martin, Ann Furey, Bridget Byrne and Gracey O’ Hara; € 50 Winners – Amanda O’Connell, Mrs. Mc Geehan, Rosaleen Melly, Charlie Mc Glynn, Peter Duffy, Rosaleen Melly, Adele Dooley, Cecelia Campbell, Mary Gallagher, -Mary Ellen Bonner, Nan Doherty, Carmel Fitzpatrick and Janet Melly; € 60 Winner –
John Ross Molloy; €100 Winners – Anne Whyte, Daniel Roogue, Winnie Long, Mary Boyle, Margaret Bonner, Moya Gallagher, Rosaleen Melly and Mary Gazley, € 300 Winner – Daniel Roogue.

Glenties Community Centre:
Bingo held in Glenties Community Centre every Tuesday Night at 9 p.m.

Snooker room is open Monday to Friday from 4pm to 10 p.m. Saturday, Sunday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m

Tai Chi:
Tai Chi every Wednesday night 8 p.m -9.30 p.m.

New CE Scheme:
New CE scheme started on 22nd September 2014, any one willing to start contact 087 9695053 for more details. FAS criteria apply.

Bowls every Monday night.

Mission Sunday:
Next Sunday -19th October is Mission Sunday – organised each year by the Society for the Propagation of the Faith. Our spiritual and material offerings are crucial for the continued work of missionaries throughout the world. There will be a 2nd Envelope Collection for Mission Sunday. The total raised in the Collection will be sent in its entirety to support mission projects worldwide.
