Naomh Conaill Notes 21st February 2012
There was no winner of this weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1,13,19 &24. Two prizes of €50 went to Thomas Donaghue Naomh Conaill senior team and Charles Mc Carron Brockagh Dungloe. Next weeks jackpot is €3,500.
The 5th draw in the 200 club took place at the Community centre bingo on Tuesday 14th February. 1st prize €500 P. Bonner Derryloughan. 5 prizes of €100 each – David Kelch Narin Road, Olivia Hegarty Mullantyboyle, John Timoney Fintown, Michael Glynn Loughcrillan and Marie Carr Narin.
There is an Umpires course in Jackson’s Hotel Ballybofey on Wednesday 29th February @ 7.30pm. Anyone interested is asked to contact club secretary Patsy Furey.
Membership for 2012 is now due. Adult membership is €30 and youth is €10. There is also €100 membership which membership and entry into the weekly lotto. Membership forms are available from the clubs website.
The draw took place for the 2012 Championship. The seniors and reserves have been drawn against St. Nauls, the U-21’s have Bundoran while the 3rd’s have been drawn against Naomh Ultan.
At the clubs presentation dance on Saturday 18th February a large crowd gathered to see the Senior team receive their Division One League medals and the Senior Ladies team receive their Gaeltacht medals and Championship runner-up medals. The award winners were Senior Player of the year Stephen Mc Grath, Reserve Player James Doherty, 3rd team player Jamie Mc Hugh, Most improved player Jamie Gallagher, Senior Ladies player Michelle Boyle and Most improved ladies player Siobhan Mc Devitt. Other presentations were made to the Senior team managers and backroom team. the Ladies manager and backroom team. the 6 Naomh Conaill players who were members of the Donegal team that won the Ulster football championship,the 4 Naomh Conaill players who were members of the winning All-Ireland Vocational school team. Presentations were also made to Jim Mc Guinness Donegal senior team manager and his wife Yvonne and to Jim Farrell Chairman of the Donegal Ladies board.
Good luck to Eoin Waide and Leo Mc Loone who are members of UUJ and to Cathal Ellis a member of DCU who are in the Sigerson Cup semi final (UUJ v DCU) this Saturday in Galway.
