Naomh Conaill Club Notes 13th June 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 8,15,22 and 29. Two prizes of €50 went to Anna Mc Dyer Main Street and Fiona Gallagher Station Road. Next weeks jackpot is €2,500.

The U12’s got their season off to a very good start with two very comprehensive victories over Bundoran on Friday night and Killybegs on Monday night. Next Monday 17th they are home to Dungloe at 6.30pm.

The U14’s play Kilcar in th Division 1 championship semi final in Naomh Ultan on Friday evening at 7.30pm.

The thirds got back to winning ways last Friday when they overcame Glenfin 2-08 to 0-06. This Saturday they are away to Mac Cumhaills at 7.30pm.

The reserves are through to the to the quarter final of the reserve championship after they overcame Malin 1-05 to 5-14. While in the senior game it finished all square at 1-08 to 0-11. This Sunday it is back to league action with both teams away to Four Masters. The reserve game is at 1.30pm followed by the senior game at 3pm.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 6th June 2013

The April draw in the 200 plus club took place at the community centre bingo last Tuesday night. 1st prize €500 Garrett O’Donnell Main Street. 5 prizes of €100 each Teresa Cunningham Ard Patrick, Bernie O’Malley Station Road, Fiona Gallagher Station Road, Mary O’Donnell Ard Connell and Helen Mc Nelis Stranaglough.

Naomh Conaill crested gloves are now on sale in the Co-Op along with a range of Naomh Conaill merchandise.

In the U12 league Division 1 on Friday 7th June they are away to Bundoran at 6.30 and on Monday 10th June they are home to Killybegs at 6.30pm.

The thirds were defeated by Ardara last Saturday. Ardara 0-18 0-06 Naomh Conaill.

Both the reserves and seniors recorded home victories in the championship over Cloughaneely. The reserves won 5-10 to 0-10 while the seniors also had a good won 0-15 to 0-07. This Sunday they are away to Malin in the championship. The reserve game is at 1.30 followed by the senior game at 3pm.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 22nd May 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2,13,14 and 16. Two prizes of €50 went to Michael Brennan Main Street and Dermot Bonner Glen Road. Next weeks jackpot is €2,200.

In the championship last Wednesday the U14’s had a comprehensive victory over Bundoran 5-06 to 9-09. They continued their winning ways on Monday when they overcame Dungloe 1-05 to 7-07.

The thirds game v St Eunans which was due to be played last Staurday was called off due to a waterlogged pitch. This Friday they are home to Glenfin at 7.30pm.

Both the seniors and reserves had good victories at the weekend over St Michaels. The reserves won 3-13 to 1-06 while the senior game finished 0-09 to 0-07. This Saturday the reserves are home to Gweedore at 7.30pm.

In conjuction with our fund raising draw the club will host a Fun Filled Table Quiz(open to 14years and over) this Friday 24th May at 8.30pm sharp in the Community Centre. Tables of 4(adults €5 each) or tables of 5(14-18year olds €4 each) or mixed. To register your team or for any enquiries contact Michael 086 8174855 or Martin 086 8656312. The fundraising draw will then take place in Leo’s Bar after the quiz. Come along and enjoy a fun night.

Congratulations to Ethan O’Donnell who has been named on the Ulster U16 elite team.

Good luck to the Donegal minor and senior team, especially the Naomh Conaill lads Ciaran Thompson(minor), Jim, Anthony, Dermot, Leo, Marty, Joe and Charlie when they take on Tyrone on Sunday in the first round of the Ulster Championship.

The club is currently running a draw. 1st prize 2 All Ireland football tickets, overnight accomadation in the Hartcourt hotel and €500 spending money, 2nd prize 2 tickets for Donegal v Tyrone. Tickets are €3 or 2 for €5. Tickets are available from club members.

Donegal v Tyrone tickets: The allocation of tickets is being decided. People receiving tickets will be contacted by the club.

The U-14’s are away to Bundoran in the Championship tonight Wednesday at 7pm.

The thirds had a good victory over Mac Cumhaills at the weekend. Naomh Conaill 1-07 0-04 Mac Cumhaills. This Saturday they are away to St Eunans at 7.30pm.

Both the seniors and reserves were defeated by St Eunans on Sunday. In the reserve game it finished St Eunans 4-04 1-05 Naomh Conaill while in the seniors it ended St Eunans 1-10 0-07 Naomh Conaill. This Sunday both teams are home to St Michaels. The reserve game is at 1.30pm followed by the senior game at 3pm.

Donegal GAA supporters club are holding a discussion forum in An Grianan Theatre Letterkenny on Wednesday 22nd May at 8pm. Special guests on the night are Martin Mc Hugh, Anthony Molloy, John Lynch and Pat Mc Anneney. Compeer on the night will be Highland Radios own Charlie Collins, music entertainment will be provided by Pat Gallagher (Goats Don’t shave) Eddie Gallagher and David Craig. Admission is only €10. The U-14’s showed another great display of football last Tuesday when they overcame Naomh Mhuire 4-13 to 1-05. They continued there good form on Monday when they overcame Four Masters 0-10 to 7-11. Next Monday 22nd April sees the start of the U14 Championship Division 1 Group A. Naomh Conaill are away to Bundoran at 7.30pm

The minors had a great victory over St Johns at home on Friday night. Naomh Conaill 2-12 1-08 St Johns. On Monday night they continued there winning ways with a victory over Naomh Brid/Pettigo 4-10 to 3-05. Next Monday 22nd April they are away to Aodh Ruadh(Ballyshannon) at 7pm.

The reserves and seniors made the long trip to Malin last Sunday. The reserves had a comfortable win Malin 0-05 2-11 Naomh Conaill. The seniors were unlucky with Malin scoring a late goal to win by the narrowest of margins Malin 2-04 0-09 Naomh Conaill. This Friday 19th the seniors are home to Gweedore at 7pm.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 28th March 2013

Club membership closes on the 31st March.Membership can be paid this Friday between 4pm and 6pm in the clubhouse. Adult membership is 40 Euro,youth membership 20 Euro (for families with a number of children its 20 Euro each for the 1st two children and then 10 Euro for each additional child). There is also the 100 Euro membership which includes club membership and entry into the weekly club lotto.

Good luck to the seniors and reserves who start their league campaign this weekend. The seniors have 2 games over the weekend starting with Four Masters at home on Friday at 5.15pm and on Sunday they are also at home against Killybegs at 3pm. The reserves have only one game and that is at home to Killybegs at 1.30pm on Sunday.

The U14s kept up their unbeaten start to the league with a 6-12 to 5-05 victory at home to Bundoran last Saturday.

The minors were beat at home by Naomh Mhuire last Monday evening and are away to Aodh Ruadh next Monday at 12 noon

Club Donegal cards are now available for 150 Euro with a jacket or 120 Euro without a jacket

The club are holding Lord Mayor campaign. More details to follow in the weeks ahead.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2,10,12,14. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Frank Mc Guinness, Main Street and Hughie Molloy. This weeks jackpot is 5,700 Euro.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1,9,22 and 24. Two prizes of €50 went to Connie Doherty Station Road and Patsy Mc Dyer Glen Road. Next weeks jackpot is €3,600.

The U-13’s had a very comprehensive victory over Four Masters last Thursday evening. Naomh Conaill 4-15 2-09 Four Masters.

The third team suffered a heavy defeat to Sean MacCumhaills in the league on Saturday evening. Naomh Conaill 0-07 4-11 Sean MacCumhaills.

In the reserve championship quarter final Naomh Conaill play Bundoran in Donegal Town on Saturday evening at 5.00pm.

The senior team progressed to the County semi final of the championship after beating Bundoran in the quarter final 1-10 to 0-05. Their semi final is fixed for O’Donnell Park Letterkenny on Sunday at 4.00pm. Naomh Conaill v Four Masters/ St Michaels.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 10th October 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2, 11, 14 and 16. Two prizes of €50 went to Peter Sweeney Croagh and Teresa Furey The Glen.Next weeks jackpot is €3,500.

The 11th draw in the 200 club took place at the Community Centre bingo last Tuesday. 1st prize €500 Muriel Hegarty Mullantyboyle.5 prizes of €100 went to Ronnie Kee Mullantyboyle, Paddy Doherty Stranalough, Bernie Keeney The Rock, Senan O’Donnell Mullantyboyle and Maggie Timoney The Rock.

The U-13’s are at home to Four Masters in the league this Thursday 11th October at 5.30pm.

Both the reserves and seniors recorded away victories in the 1st Round 2nd leg of the championship against St Nauls on Saturday evening. The reserves put in a great display of football to bet St Nauls 3-14 to 0-03 while the seniors won 0-12 to 0-06. Both teams have to wait for the playoffs to see who they face in the quarter final. They will play the winners of the Glenfin v Bundoran game which is due to be played on Wednesday with the quarter final for the seniors due to be played this weekend. See clubs website for details

Congratulations to the Naomh Conaill U13 Girls who won the County Final last Wenesday. After a great performance the game ended 1-10 to 1-06. The Naomh Conaill Ladies underage had a very successful year and would like to congratulate all the players for their commitment and hard work throughout the year. Congratulations to all who was involved with the team especially the management which included Christopher Molloy, Joe Byrne, Lorraine Molloy and Caroline Boyle Carr. Well done girls.

The U13’s got their season off to a winning start when they had a great victory over Bundoran. Bundoran 6-06 7-17 Naomh Conaill. This Friday 31st August they are home to Ardara. Check website for time.

The U14’s play Ardara in the Division One Regional Championship Final this Wednesday 29th August in Dooey at 7.30pm. Good Luck Boys.

Well done to the U15 team that won the County Og Sport on Monday night in Gweedore where they recorded victories in all of their 3 games. Naomh Conaill 8-06 0-02 Convoy, Naomh Conaill 3-07 1-01 Na Rossa and Naomh Conaill 4-09 0-05 Gweedore. They will now go forward to represent Donegal in Ulster which takes place on Saturday 8th September in Stewartstown Co Tyrone.

The minors were beaten by Naomh Mhuire last Wednesday in the Championship quarter final second leg. Naomh Mhuire 2-11 1-03 Naomh Conaill. The play-off between them now takes place this Friday 31st August at 7pm in Dooey.

The U21’s bet Bundoran in the U21 A Football championship on Monday night. Bundoran 2-07 2-12 Naomh Conaill.

The third team had a narrow victory over Naomh Ultan at home last Saturday in the Junior B Football Championship. Naomh Conaill 1-09 1-08 Naomh Ultan.

The reserves and seniors are home this Sunday 2nd September to Ardara in the league. The reserve game is at 1.30 followed by the senior game at 3pm.

The minor board held a very successful camp last week. Thanks to everyone who helped out. Thanks especially to Leo and Marty who came down on Friday to make presentations to all the children who attended the camp.

The club launched their harvest fair draw recently. 1st prize €1,000 2nd 42″ flat screen television, 3rd 2 All Ireland Football tickets 4th Digital camera 5th €100. Tickets are €5 each or €10 for a book of 3. The draw will take place on Friday 14th September. Tickets are now on sale.

Naomh Conaill ladies GAA under age and senior AGM will be held on 28th September at 8pm in the clubhouse. It is very important that all members, mentors,players and parents of the under age players attend.

Congratulations to the Donegal Senior team on a brillant performance against Cork to reach this years All Ireland Final. The club is very proud of all the Naomh Conaill lads associated with the team – players Anthony,Leo, Dermot and Marty, Manager Jim and kitman Joe. Well Done Lads.
