Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 26th May 2014

There was no winner of this weeks club lotto, the numbers out were 1-5-24-26 €50 x2 went to Kathleen Quinn Ard mc Gill and Siobhan Shovelin Ardara. This weeks jackpot will be €7400

Naomh Conaill club are looking for lotto sellers for different areas in the parish, if anyone would like to become a seller for an area contact Daniel Mc Geehan for details on 0868586395.

The club are organizing a scrap Saturday this week from Thursday 29th – Saturday 31st May, If you have any unwanted scrap metal around the house it can be left behind the clubhouse on the above dates or contact Daniel 0868586395 Connie 0861519835 Peter 0876483685 to make a collection. Scrap metal only.

Congratulations to Donegal team on there victory over Derry at the weekend, congratulations to all our club players and background team Ethan (minors), Jim (manager), Anthony, Leo (man of the match), Dermot, Leon and Dr Charlie, Charles, Joe.

A special well done to our u14 team on reaching the Division 1 u14 Co final v MacCumhaills on Friday last, well done to all the team and managers involved.

Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 6th May 2014

Names will be taken in the club house this Friday 9th May from 8pm to 8.30pm for the Donegal V Derry game. This is an all ticket game, once tickets are ordered they cannot be cancelled.

There will be a meeting on in the Clubhouse at 8.30 for all managers and mentors for any under age team on Friday the 9th may, it’s important that all managers and mentors attend.

The Club is organising a Scrap Saturday with the collection of scrap metals commencing on Thursday 29th to Saturday 31st May at the rear of the club house. For anyone who wants materials collected contact Numbers are, Daniel Mc Geehan 086 8586395, Connie Doherty 086 1519835, Peter Mc Kelvey 087 6483685. Only Metals will be collected.

The first draw in the 200 club will take place on the 27th May. There are some places left and if you wish to be included please contact any club executive member.

Votes of sympathy were passed to the families of Rose Molloy, ArdConnell, Pat Ramsey, Dunkineely, John Hannigan, Letterkenny.

Congratulations to the U-14 girls they’re manager Sean Connaghton and his mentors in winning all games in group B, They advance to group A next season.

We would like to give massive congratulations to the U-15 boy’s they’re managers Martin Regan David Gallagher and they’re mentors on winning the Gaeltacht Competition Down in Naomh Muire The Banks on Monday 5th May.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 12th June 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2,4,10,17. Two prizes of €50 went to Michael Ward, Straboy and May Kennedy. Kilraine. Next weeks jackpot is €3,200.

There is a fundraising dance in aid of Naomh Conaill Ladies and Fintown Harps in Halla Baile Na Finne, Fintown this Sunday 17th June at 9pm. Doors open at 8pm. Music by The Regulators. Admission €10. So get on your dancing shoes and come and support two worthy local clubs.

The U-10’s Go Games Games blitz is in Naomh Mhuire (the banks) this Saturday 16th June at 12 noon. The two other clubs taking part in the blitz is Dungloe and Kilcar.

The U-12 Go Games League continues next Monday 18th June at 6.30 when Naomh Conaill are away to Ardara.
Good luck to the U-14 team who play Aodh Ruadh in the Division One League Regional Semi Final this Friday at 7.30pm in Donegal Town.

Both the reserves and seniors were beaten by St Eunans in the league at the weekend. The reserves lost 3-08 to 1-10 while the seniors were beaten 3-06 to 1-06.

Good luck to the Donegal team especially the Naomh Conaill lads when they take on Derry in Ballybofey on Saturday evening.

Naomh Conaill Notes 19th July 2011

Congratulations to Jim and the Donegal team on their fantastic victory in the Ulster final over Derry last Sunday in Clones. It was a very proud day for the club with Jim as manager and 6 players in the squad Anthony, Dermott, Marty, Leo, Eoin and Dara. They have all been great ambassadors for club and county. The All Ireland quarter finals are due to be played on the August Bank Holiday weekend and it is expected that it will be all ticket so anyone interested in tickets should contact any club officer as soon as possible.

Congratulations to the U16s who beat Naomh Brid in the Regional final last Monday evening in Dunkineely.

The club are hosting the Vhi Cul Camp from the 25th-29th of July. Application forms are availble in Mc Glincheys and for more information contact Dara Gallagher
