Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 8th December 2014

There was no winner of this week’s lotto, Numbers out were 2-12-23-27 and the €50×2 went to Georgina Neathercoat and Lisa Caughlin. Next week’s jackpot will be €3,600.

Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 19th May 2014

Naomh Conaill Ladies
The last day for registering with Naomh Conaill Ladies is next Friday 23rd May. All players , managers and mentors must be registered before that date. The cost of registration is underage players 36 euro, senior players 51 euro and non players 26 euro. The Club is organising a Scrap Saturday with the collection of scrap metals commencing on Thursday 29th to Saturday 31st May at the rear of the club house. For anyone who wants materials collected contact Numbers are, Daniel Mc Geehan 086 8586395, Connie Doherty 086 1519835, Peter Mc Kelvey 087 6483685. Only Metals will be collected.

The first draw in the 200 club will take place on the 27th May. There are some places left and if you wish to be included please contact any club executive member.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 4th October 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto.The numbers drawn were 3,20,26 and 27. Two prizes of €50 went to Annie Mc Dyer Derries and Janice Mc Nelis Narin Road Glenties. Next weeks jackpot is €3,400.

In the U-13 League Division One Naomh Conaill are home to Aodh Ruadh this Saturday at 12 noon.

Both the reserves and seniors recorded home victories in the 1st Round 1st Leg of the championship on Sunday over St Nauls. The reserves won 1-13 to 1-04 while the seniors also had a good win 1-09 to 0-03. The 2nd leg takes place this Saturday in Mountcharles. The reserve game is at 3.30pm followed by the senior game at 5.00pm.

The clubs last man standing starts this Saturday. Entry forms are still available from Martin Doherty, Martin Regan and Eunan Mc Glinchey. €10 to entry with a min €300 for the winner. All sheets must be returned before Saturday.

The club would like to thank everyone who helped in any way with the homecoming for the All Ireland Senior Football Champions Donegal. Your help was very much appreciated.

The Ladies held their AGM in the clubhouse last Friday. The following officers were elected for the coming year – Chairperson Shauna Molloy, Secretary Grainne Mc Loone, Treasurer Helen Mc Nelis, Childrens Officer Lynn Porter, PRO Alision Doherty and Lorraine Molloy,Senior & Minor Manager Hughie Molloy and U12 Manager Lorraine Molloy.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 16th May 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1,2,17 & 28. Two prizes of €50 went to Breege Roarty, Ard Mc Gill, Glenties and Maria Boyle, Clooney.Next weeks jackpot is €2,800.

The final night for registration with the Naomh Conaill Ladies is the 17th May for underage and registration will take place in the clubhouse at 7.30pm and the 18th for Senior ladies with registration taking place in the clubhouse at 8pm. These are the last nights for registering so please make sure to attend these nights. There will be a sponsored car wash at the grotto this Saturday from 10-5 in aid of the Naomh Conaill U-14 girls who are representing Donegal in the All Ireland feile in June.

The club held a very successful U-8 Go Games last Saturday. A great day was had by everyone. Thans to everyone who helped on the day.

The U-10’s have their first blitz of the year this Saturday 19th May at 12 noon when they travel to Killybegs who will be hosts to Dungloe, Naomh Mhuire and ourselves Naomh Conaill.

The U-12 game that was fixed for Monday 14th against Dungloe was cancelled and has been refixed for this Thursday 17th. Next Monday 21st May they are away to Killybegs at 6.30pm.

The U-14’s had another fine victory last week over Aodh Ruadh. Naomh Conaill 5-12 2-06 Aodh Ruadh. Next Wednsday 23rd May they are away to Ardara at 7.30pm.

Both the Seniors and Reserve teams were in league action on Sunday against St. Michaels. Our reserve team won Naomh Conaill 2-11 3-03 St Michaels. The senior game ended in a draw Naomh Conaill 1-06 1-06 St Michaels.

Club merchandise is now on sale in the Co-Op.

Good luck to the Donegal Minors and Seniors especially the Naomh Conaill lads when they take on Cavan this Sunday in the preliminary round of the Ulster championship.

Narin & Portnoo Golf Club Ladies Notes 2nd April 2012

Commiserations to our Intermediate golf team who narrowly failed to qualify in Ballyliffin on Monday last. Our Junior Foursomes took one match in Narin and Portnoo to qualify for the next round.

Good luck to Máire Walsh and Collette Boner who take on Castlehume in the third round of the Daily Mail in Castlehume on May 7th.

Winners of the Australian Spoons were 1st Angela O’Marcaigh (16) and Joe Dunleavy(23) with 35 pts; 2nd Maureen Gildea (28) and Eithne Devlin (17) with 34 pts.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 4,5,26 & 27. Two prizes of €50 went to Nabla Furey, Ard Mc Gill, Glenties and Henry Gillespie, Mill Road, Glenties. Next weeks jackpot is €2,100.

The U-14’s were competing in the Feili na nOg peil blitz last Saturday where they had victories over Ardara, Naomh Conaill 2-9 2-2 Ardara and Dungloe, Naomh Conaill 1-7 2-3 Dungloe. They are now through to the Regional final this Saturday March 31st which will take place in Glenties at 10.30am.

The U-16’s had a good victory over Naomh Mhuire on Sunday. Naomh Conaill 4-16 0-08 Naomh Mhuire.

The club is currently selling Club Donegal cards. These cards gives you free admission to all club matches (league, championship & underage) in the County. The club is selling them at the special price of €120. Anyone interested in purchasing one can contact Seamus 087 4106737 or Brian 087 9354012.

Club membership is now due for 2012. Adult membership is €30 and €10 for youth. There is also €100 membership which includes membership and entry into the weekly lotto. The closing date for membership is Saturday 31st March so the final registration night will take place in the Clubhouse on Friday 30th March between 8 & 9pm.

The club is holding a Scrap Saturday this Saturday 31st March in the club grounds so if you have any old scrap bring it along to be recycled between 9am & 4pm. A full list of items that can be recycled can be got on the clubs website or for more information contact Peter 087 6483685.

The Naomh Conaill Ladies board are collecting the Tesco schools and clubs vouchers. Anyone who has any vouchers and would like to help the club can give their vouchers to any of the Ladies committee or leave them in the Craft Gallery with Rosaleen.

The Seniors and Reserves get there league season underway this weekend with an away match against St. Michaels. Check clubs website for date and times.

Membership is now due for 2012. Adult membership is €30 and €10 for youth. There is also €100 membership which includes membership and entry into the weekly lotto. Membership forms are available from the Iniskeel Co-Op and the club’s website. The closing date for membership is Saturday 31st March.

The club is holding a Scrap Saturday on March 31st so start gathering all your old scrap eg wheel barrows, old boilers, ranges, gates, gas heaters. A full list of items for recycling can be got on the club’s website or for more details contact Peter 087 6483685.

The U-16’s had another good victory on Sunday. Naomh Conaill 5-09 1-07 Four Masters. Scorers Kevin Mc Gettigan 2-1 Eoin Mc Gettigan 2-0 Ciaran Gallagher 1-0 Paul Quinn 0-3 Matias Mc Kelvey 0-2 Ethan O’Donnell 0-2 Charles Mc Guinness 0-1. This Sunday March 18th they are away to Aodh Ruadh @ 12 noon.

The Naomh Conaill ladies played there first game on Sunday 11th and lost out to Milford. The Ladies have Together for Carers St Patricks day ribbons on sale in the local shops and will be selling them on the street this Thursday and Friday. The ribbons are €2 each. The Ladies football Association are delighted to be partnered with the Carers Association for this great and worthy cause so all support would be greatly appreciated. All courses are in Jackson’s hotel Ballybofey. Anyone interested in any of the courses is asked to contact Patsy Furey.

There is a meeting for Naomh Conaill senior ladies on Saturday @ 8.30. Any new players welcomed.

At the clubs executive meeting last week Martin Doherty and Stephen Mc Kelvey were appointed Senior team managers, Connie Doherty U-21 and Martin Shankey Smith Vice-Chairman. Congratulations to all on there appointments.

Naomh Conaill Notes 14th December 2011

Good luck to the U21s who play Kilcar in the co final this Sunday at 2pm in O Donnell Park, Letterkenny.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1,10,13,24. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Michelle Byrne, Mill Road, Glenties and Gerarad Gallagher, 7 The Rock, Glenties. The jackpot now stands at 2,500 Euro.

The 3rd draw in the 200 club was held at the community centre bingo last Tuesday night and the following were the winners, 1st prize 500 Euro-PJ Campbell, Ard Patrick, Glenties and 5 prizes of 100 Euro each went to Rosaleen Doherty, Station Road, Glenties, Aaron Thompson, Ard Mc Gill, Glenties, Teresa Molloy, Fintown, Paul Gallagher, Kilraine and Patricia Molloy, Mill Road, Glenties.

The underage ladies presentation took place last Sunday night in the Highlands Hotel. We would like to congratulate all the U14 girls who recieved their county feile medals and to the U12 team who were presented with their certificates. We would also like to thank all the parents who provided the food on the night and a big thank you to the Highlands Hotel for the tea and the function room. We would especially like to thank Dara Gallagher who presented the girls with their medals and certificates. The ladies board has elected Arlene Gallagher as secretary of the Naomh Conaill ladies for the coming year.
