There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 3,4,22,28. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Raymond Maguire c/o Roddys Bar and Cormac Molloy, Nairin Road. This weeks jackpot is 6,100 Euro. The latest winners in the 200 Club draw which was held at the commuinty centre bingo last Tuesay night were 1st prize of 500 Euro went to Maggie Timoney, The Rock and 5 prizes of 100 Euro Fiona Gillispie, Mill Road, Ann Furey, Ard McGill, Deirdre O’Donnell, Tullyard Road, Jack Delaney c/o David Kelch and Dereck Ward, Mullantyboyle

The minors play Bundoran at home this Friday evening at 6.30pm. The U16s beat St Nauls at home last Monday evening 2-8 to 0-6.

The seniors and reserves are due to play Ardara away this Sunday at 1.30pm and 3pm.

Good luck to Packie McGill who was appointed U21 manager at last weeks excuetive meeting.

Congratulations to Jim and the Donegal senior team who gained promotion to Div 1 last Sunday dispite losing away to Laois. They now play Laois again in the league final in Croke Park on Easter Sunday at 2pm. The game is all ticket and anyone interested in tickets can give their name to any club officer.

Naomh Conaill – A History of the Naomh Conaill GAA Club in Glenties

The year 1921 saw the formation of the Gaelic Athletic Association in Glenties. However the playing of a hurling match between Kilraine and Brackey (Ardara) in the summer of 1905 was perhaps the first time Gaelic games as we now know them were played in the parish of Inniskeel. This match was arranged by Alex McDyer, Kilraine and Charles McGill, Brackey.
