Naomh Conaill Club Notes 4th October 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto.The numbers drawn were 3,20,26 and 27. Two prizes of €50 went to Annie Mc Dyer Derries and Janice Mc Nelis Narin Road Glenties. Next weeks jackpot is €3,400.

In the U-13 League Division One Naomh Conaill are home to Aodh Ruadh this Saturday at 12 noon.

Both the reserves and seniors recorded home victories in the 1st Round 1st Leg of the championship on Sunday over St Nauls. The reserves won 1-13 to 1-04 while the seniors also had a good win 1-09 to 0-03. The 2nd leg takes place this Saturday in Mountcharles. The reserve game is at 3.30pm followed by the senior game at 5.00pm.

The clubs last man standing starts this Saturday. Entry forms are still available from Martin Doherty, Martin Regan and Eunan Mc Glinchey. €10 to entry with a min €300 for the winner. All sheets must be returned before Saturday.

The club would like to thank everyone who helped in any way with the homecoming for the All Ireland Senior Football Champions Donegal. Your help was very much appreciated.

The Ladies held their AGM in the clubhouse last Friday. The following officers were elected for the coming year – Chairperson Shauna Molloy, Secretary Grainne Mc Loone, Treasurer Helen Mc Nelis, Childrens Officer Lynn Porter, PRO Alision Doherty and Lorraine Molloy,Senior & Minor Manager Hughie Molloy and U12 Manager Lorraine Molloy.

Naomh Conaill Notes 9th August 2011

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2,6,10,20. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Cissie Meehan, Mc Closkey Crescent and Mary Doherty, Stranaglough. The jackpot now stands at 7,800 Euro. Draw takes place every Tuesday night at the Community Centre Bingo.

Good luck to the senior ladies who play Cloughaneely in the co final this Sunday at 1pm in Ballybofey.

The seniors beat Dungloe in the league last Saturday evening 1-12 to 0-8. Both the seniors and reserves are due to have a league game this Saturday evening.

The club are holding a summer camp running from Tues 23rd August to Friday 26th August. The cost will be 20 Euro per child and 10 Euro for additional child. Registration forms will be available in Mc Glincheys and the morning of the camp.

The U14s play Ardara in the Regional semi final this Friday evening at 7pm in Killybegs. The U15s will take part in the U15 Og Sport blitz this Saturday in Mountcharles.

Names for tickets for the All Ireland semi final should be given to any club officer before Tuesday 16th August.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2,3,6,9. The jackpot now stands at 7,400 Euro. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Ciara Shovlin, Loughfad and Carol Sweeney, Rosbeg.

The U14s drew with Dungloe last Wednesday in Dungloe 1-8 to 0-11. They are at home to Na Rossa next Mon 18th and home to Four Masters on Wednesday 20th July. Good luck to U14 player Eoghan Mc Gettigan who plays at half time in the Ulster final in Clones this Sunday.

The U16s beat St Nauls 2-6 to 1-7 in Mountcharles last Monday in the championship and they now play them again in the 2nd leg this Friday at home at 7.30pm.

The club are hosting the Vhi Cul Camp from the 25th-29th of July. Application forms are availble in Mc Glincheys and for more information contact Dara Gallagher

The seniors were very unlucky to lose 1-10 to 0-12 at home to St Eunans in the league last Saturday evening.

Good luck to Donegal this Sunday in the Ulster final.

Anyone with tickets ordered for the Ulster final must collect them this Thursday in the clubhouse between 8pm and 9pm.Any tickets not collected will be resold.

Naomh Conaill Notes 8th June 2011

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1,3,17,25. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Shauna Molloy, Clos Naomh Conaill and James Gallagher, Ardara. The jackpot now stands at 6,900 Euro.

The Under 8s had their first blitz of the year in Ardara last Friday evening and they had a very enjoyable evening and were very well looked after by the host club Ardara. The teams taking part were Ardara, St Nauls, Killybegs and N Conaill. The U10s  had a blitz last Saturday in Mountcharles and once more they had a very sucessful day.

The U14s had a comprehensive victory over Naomh Mhuire in Pairc Acla last Wednesday. There next game is away to Four Masters next Wednesday.

The seniors and reserves are away to Four Masters this Saturday evening. The seniors play Killybegs or Naomh Brid in the semi final of the Patsy Brogan Tournament in Donegal Town next Monday at 8pm.

The club will be hosting Take Me Out in the Highlands Hotel on Friday 17th June. Tickets are 10 Euro and are on sale locally.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1,4,11,15. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Hugh Brendan McDyer, Ard Mc Gill and Bernie Keeney, The Rock.The jackpot now stands at 6,700 Euro.

Good luck to the U16s who are due to play Naomh Colmcille in the co league final on Wednesday 25th May at 7pm in Letterkenny.

The club had 3 U10 teams taking part in a blitz in Kilcar last Saturday and they all had a very sucessful and enjoyable day dispite the bad weather. The U8s have a blitz in Ardara on Thursday 26th May and the bus leaves the clubhouse at 5.30pm

The seniors were away to Glenswilly last Sunday evening in the 1st leg of the championship and in a very low scoring game it ended 0-6 each. The reserves had great victory against Glwnswilly winning 0-12 to 0-4.

Good luck to Red Hughs on the official opening of their new clubhouse this Sunday at 4.30pm by GAA President Christy Conney. There will be challange game afterwards at 6pm between a Naomh Conaill select and the Donegal senior team. The Naomh Conaill select will include players from Derry and Tyrone. We would like to thank Red Hughs for inviting the senior team to be part of the opening.

The senior ladies beat Letterkenny Gaels at home in the 1st leg of the championship last Sunday. They play the 2nd leg away this Sunday at 12.30pm. The U14 girls are at home to St Michaels on Thursday at 7.30pm. The U12 girls have their first blitz this Saturday in Mountcharles at 11am. They are in the same group as St Nauls, Four Masters and Ardara. There will be a wax, shave or dye fundraiser in Mellys Bar on Friday night at 9pm. This is in aid of the U14 girls who are through to the All Ireland Feile in Cork at the end of June. Please come and support.
