Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 30th August 2017

There was no winner of this week Gaa Lotto; the numbers drawn out were 04-06-14-18 and the 2x€50 went to Emer O Donnell, Mill Road and Brian Mc Guigan, Ard Connell. Next week’s Jackpot will be €5,100.

Naomh Conaill club 200 draw number 1 took place on Tuesday 22nd Aug and the winners were the following 1st prize €300 Anne O Donnell, Kilraine and 7x€100 Philip Rodgers Main street, Mary O Donnell Ard Connell, Kevin Ward Edeninfagh, Patricia Molloy Mill Road, Anne Mc Glinchey Tullyard Road, Mark Bonner Glen Road, Michael Furey Ard Patrick. The annual Harvest fair draw is up and running again in association with Glenties Services to whom we are very grateful. The first prize is a Pedigree Charolais Heifer, kindly sponsored by Glenties Services. The second prize is €1000. The third prize is a 50″ HD TV which has been sponsored by Paddy McDevitt, Fintown and Boston. The fourth prize is a very generous €200 voucher from McGeehans tyres, Fintown and the final prize is a Pedigree Texel Ram Lamb. Tickets are priced at just €5 each or three for €10 and are available from any of the organising committee. A huge thank you to our sponsors who have supported the Club in the running of the draw.

SuperValu in Ballybofey have given a box for Naomh Conaill GAA club. They are sponsoring first touch balls and through the initiative, SuperValu customers will receive ‘#BehindTheBall’ tokens, which they can then use to allocate to our local GAA club at the in-store collection points.

The Quarter finals of the Michael Murphy Sports Championship was held last Monday night and our reserves are to play Naomh Mhuire and our Senior team will play Killybegs on the weekend of the 9th-10th September.

Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 15th March 2016

There was no winner of this week Gaa Lotto; the numbers drawn out were 6-16-17-25 and the 2x€50 went to Brid Furey, Ard Patrick and Ann Marie Cunningham, Glen Road Glenties. Next week’s Jackpot will be €5,600.

Naomh Conaill membership for 2016 can be paid from now to 31st march 2016. Youth membership €20, Adult membership €40 or €100 includes €2 entry each week to lotto Membership forms can be got in the Inniskeel coop Glenties or from Murial Hegarty or contact any executive member.

Club Membership will be taking this Saturday 19th March between 7-8pm in Fintown.

Naomh Conaill Gaa are asking all members for help for the Donegal Gaeltacht this May, If you are available to help out in any way as in stewarding, Kitchen, Lotto, Shop can you please contact any executive member asap. There will be a meeting regarding the Gaeltacht in the clubhouse on Thursday 24th March at 8pm. Please attend.

Naomh Conaill will be collecting for Irish language at mass on St Patricks Day.

Well done to our U14 who started the league with a 1-11 to 1-6 victory away to Ardara. They are at home v Aodh Ruadh this Saturday at 12pm.

Naomh Conaill Minors had a successful start with a 7-16 to 0-7 win over Killybegs. They are at home v Ardara next Tuesday.

Our Seniors and Reserves start the league this weekend at home v Termon on Sunday and take note the two teams have agreed to play the games in reverse order Seniors at 1.30pm and reserves at 3pm.

Club Membership can be paid this Sunday from 12-1.30pm in the clubhouse before the senior game.

Anybody interested in playing football this year must have their membership paid before the 31st March.

Championship Draws were made this week Senior and reserve Termon, Gweedore and Four Masters in group D. Our U21s have Naomh Mhuire and senior C(3rd team) Ardara and Mac Cumhaills.

Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 31st October 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 11, 14, 15 and 18. Two prizes of €50 went to Kathleen Quinn 20 Ard Mc Gill and Margaret Flannery Ardun. Next weeks jackpot is €4,500.

Well done to the U16 team who overcame Aodh Ruadh in the play-off in Ardara on Friday night. Aodh Ruadh 3-05 2-12 Naomh Conaill. They now play the winners of Dungloe/Naomh Mhuire in Ardara on Friday night at 8.15pm.

Well done to the U21 who are through to the final after they were victorious over Mac Cumhaills. Naomh Conaill 2-14 1-08 Mac Cumhaills. They now await the winners of Kilcar v Four Masters. This is the U21’s playing in our 8th consecutive final.

Congratulations to Paddy Campbell who was ratified as Naomh Conaill senior manager for a second year.

The clubs AGM will take place on Friday 6th December at 7.30pm.

The Clubs Strictly Come Jiving will take place on Saturday 23rd November in the Highlands Hotel. Tickets are €15 and are for sale in The Highlands Hotel, The Inniskeel Co-0p, Maxwells Ballinamore or from any of the dancers taking part.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 17th September 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 4, 6, 11 and 13. Two prizes of €50 went to Mary Mc Mahon Fintown and Imelda Doherty Narin Road. Next weeks jackpot is €3,900.

The U13’s continued their winning ways with a comprehensive victory over Naomh Mhuire last Saturday. Naomh Conaill 11-08 2-09 Naomh Mhuire.

The U21’s are through to the county semi final after they defeated Convoy last Saturday. Naomh Conaill 3-15 2-07 Convoy. They now play the winners of Gweedore / Mac Cumhaills.

Good luck to the senior team who are taking part in the Kilmacuds 7’s this Saturday. They are drawn in group 3 along with Emmet Og (Longford), Caherlistrane (Galway) and Naomh Olaf (Dublin). Games will take place in Naomh Olaf with the first game at 11am.

Naomh Coanill Club Notes 10th September 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 17, 26, 27 and 30. Two prizes of €50 went to James Molloy Mill road and Margaret Mc Geehan Derries. Next weeks jackpot is €3,800.

Well done to the U13 team who had a very comprehensive victory over Ardara on Friday night. Ardara 2-04 6-16 Naomh Conaill. They are home to Naomh Mhuire on Saturday at 12noon.

Well done to the U16 team who put in a great performance on Monday night to edge out Aodh Ruadh by the narrowest of margins. Naomh Conaill 2-8 2-7 Aodh Ruadh. They will now play the winners of Ardara / Dungloe in the league final.

The reserve game against Gweedore on Sunday was called off. The senior game went ahead but unfortunately we were beaten by a point. Gweedore 0-08 0-07 Naomh Conaill.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 11th July 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 6,13,14 and 21. Two prizes of €50 went to James Griffin Derries and Odhrán Furey The Glen. Next weeks jackpot is €2,900.

The U12’s are home to Aodh Ruadh on Monday 15th July at 6.30pm.

The U16’s had a good victory over Dungloe last week. Dungloe 2-05 2-11 Naomh Conaill. On Friday 12th they are home to Naomh Mhuire at 7.30pm.

The minors were beaten in the championship last week by Naomh Mhuire. Naomh Conaill 0-05 1-11 Naomh Mhuire.

Both the seniors and reserves were beaten by St Michaels on Saturday evening. In the reserve game it finished St Michaels 0-07 0-05 Naomh Conaill while in the senior game it finished St Michaels 5-10 1-10 Naomh Conaill.

The thirds game against Mac Cumhaills on Sunday finished all square Mac Cumhaills 1-07 1-07 Naomh Conaill.

The Naomh Conaill senior ladies played Kilcar in the championship on Sunday and recorded a good victory. Naomh Conaill 3-09 1-05 Kilcar

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 3rd July 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 11,14,16 and 17. Two prizes of €50 went to Rose Solly Station Road and Anna McCole 21 Solomons Court Letterkenny. Next weeks jackpot is €2,800.

The June draw in the 200 plus club took place last Tuesday night at the Community centre bingo. 1st prize €500 Joe Gallagher Derries. 5 prizes of €100 each Leo Mc Loone Jnr Main street, Kevin Ward Edeninfagh, Sarah Mc Glynn Fintown, Nellie Doherty Ard Mc Gill and Ann O’Donnell Derries

The U12’s had a comprehensive victory over Ardara on Monday night. They are away to Four Masters on Saturday 6th July at 6.30pm.

Commiseration to the U14 team and their manager who were beaten in the regional final by Ardara. Naomh Conaill 2-06 4-19 Ardara.

The U16’s are away to Dungloe on Friday night at 7.30pm

In the minor championship it finished all square between Naomh Mhuire and Naomh Conaill. 2-10 each.

Commiseration to our senior team who made their exit from the championship after they were defeated by St Eunans on Saturday evening. St Eunans 2-15 3-09 Naomh Conaill. The reserves won by the narrowest of margins St Eunans 1-6 1-7 Naomh Coanill. They are through to the championship quarter final.

The club would like to thank all the families that hosted the boys from Belfast and the girls from Kilkenny during their Feile visit last weekend. It was very much appreciated. Thanks to all the other people who helped out in any way over the weekend. The Kilkenny city girls won the Division 2 final while the O’Donovan Rossa boys were beaten in the final.

The Naomh Conaill senior ladies were narrowly beaten in the Darren Mc Ginley memorial tournament last Saturday in Glen. On Sunday they had a good league victory away to Cloughaneely. Naomh Coanill 6-15 4-08 Cloughaneely.

Names will be taken for Ulster final tickets on Friday evening from 7.30 to 8.30 in the clubhouse. Once tickets are ordered they cannot be cancelled. Stand, terrace and juvenile tickets available – prices TBC.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 16th April 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 10,18,21 and 28.Two prizes of €50 each went to Richie Quigley Stonepark and Hugh Boyle Glen Road. Next weeks jackpot is €6,200.

The club is currently running a draw. 1st prize 2 All Ireland Football tickets, overnight accomadation in The Hartcourt hotel and €500 spending money. 2nd prizes 2 tickets for the Donegal v Tyrone game. Tickets are €3 each or 2 for €5. Tickets are available from club members. Please support.

The U-14’s showed another great display of football last Tuesday when they overcame Naomh Mhuire 4-13 to 1-05. They continued there good form on Monday when they overcame Four Masters 0-10 to 7-11. Next Monday 22nd April sees the start of the U14 Championship Division 1 Group A. Naomh Conaill are away to Bundoran at 7.30pm

The minors had a great victory over St Johns at home on Friday night. Naomh Conaill 2-12 1-08 St Johns. On Monday night they continued there winning ways with a victory over Naomh Brid/Pettigo 4-10 to 3-05. Next Monday 22nd April they are away to Aodh Ruadh(Ballyshannon) at 7pm.

The reserves and seniors made the long trip to Malin last Sunday. The reserves had a comfortable win Malin 0-05 2-11 Naomh Conaill. The seniors were unlucky with Malin scoring a late goal to win by the narrowest of margins Malin 2-04 0-09 Naomh Conaill. This Friday 19th the seniors are home to Gweedore at 7pm.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 3rd April 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1, 14, 21 & 22. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Nan Doherty, Dungloe and Caoimhe Mc Callig, Lacklea. This weeks jackpot is 6,000 Euro.

The winners of the 200 club March draw were 1st prize of 500 Euro were Shaun Mc Monagle, Fintown and 5 prizes of 100 Euro went to Thomas Mc Dyre, Derries, Michael Boyle, Ard Mc Gill, Maggie O’Donnell, Meenahalla, Dim Melly, Leitir and Annmarie Brennan, Ardara.

The senior team had mixed fortunes last weekend losing at home to Four Masters on Good Friday by 4 points but they recorded their first victory of the year against Killybegs by 1-6 to 0-6 in Glenties.

The reserves had only one game and new manager Leo Mc Loone (senior) got of to a winning start beating Killybegs 1-7 to 0-6. They are at home to Four Masters this Saturday evening at 6.45pm.

The U14s beat Aodh Ruadh 4-14 to 3-3 in Ballyshannon last Monday. They are at home to Naomh Mhuire next Monday at 7pm.
