Naomh Conaill Club Notes 4th December

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 7, 10, 21 and 22. Two prizes of €50 went to Rose Molloy Mill Road and Grace Boyle Glen Road. Next weeks jackpot is €5,000.

The November draw in the 200 plus club took place last Tuesday night at the Community centre bingo. 1st prize €500 DaraghGallagher Ard Patrick. 5 prizes of €100 each Alexandra Kelch The Wood, Zita Mc Closkey Main Street, Annmarie Brennan Ardara, David Hennigan Ardara and John Browne Meenalaragan.

Congratulations to the Donegal vocational school on retaining the Ulster title after they defeated Cavan 3-13 to 1-13 last Wednesday night. Naomh Conaill was represented by Seosamh Mc Kelvey manager, mentor Martin Regan and Ethan O’Donnell and Kevin Mc Gettigan players. Well done boys.

The clubs AGM will take place this Friday night 6th December at 7.30pm in the Community Centre .

The clubs minor board AGM took place last Friday night in the clubhouse.The following managers were appointed for 2014 U8 Pat Ward , U10 Martin Doherty ,U12 Martin Shankey Smith, U14 TBC, U16 Martin Regan and minors Damien Craig.

Congratulations to Ian Molloy who received a referee’s award at the Ulster GAA Presidents awards dinner last Friday night in the Hillgrove hotel.

This Friday night the Mayor of Glenties will be announced in Keeney’s Bar at 10.30pm. A huge effort was put in by the four candidates so come along and show your support.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 6, 12, 14 and 20. Two prizes of €50 went to Ann Mc Dyer Maas and John Rodgers Derries. Next weeks jackpot is €4,800.

The reserve team are away to Killybegs this Saturday 23rd at 2pm.

The clubs Strictly Come Jiving takes place this Saturday night in the Highlands Hotel. Tickets are €15 and are for sale in the Highlands Hotel, The Inniskeel Co-Op, Maxwells Ballinamore or from any of the dancers taking part.

A full range of club merchandise is now for sale in the Inniskeel Co-Op and in Maxwells Ballinamore. Naomh Conaill merchandise gift vouchers are now available in the Inniskeel Co-Op.

The clubs minor board AGM will take place on Friday 29th November at 8pm in the Clubhouse.

The club is holding a club forum this Sunday 24th November at 5pm in the clubhouse. All club members is invited to attend.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto.The numbers drawn were 6,11,14 and 21. Two prizes of €50 went to John Molloy Mully Dance and Philip Gallagher Station Road. Next weeks jackpot is €4,300.

The final draw in this years 200 club took place at the bingo in the Highlands Hotel last Tuesday. 1st Prize €500 Eoin Waide Main Street. 5 prizes of €100 each Mary Thompson Ard Mc Gill, Leo Mc Loone Main Street, Annmarie Brennan Ardara, Martin Doherty Meenahalla and Daniel Roog Meenahalla.

In the clubs Last man standing there was only 2 people still in it last Saturday James O’Malley and Ciaran Thompson. Ciaran picked Arsenal who were beaten so James was the Last Man Standing after picking Liverpool. James wins €300.

The Minor board AGM will take place this Friday 7th December in the Clubhouse at 8.00pm. This is a very important meeting where underage managers for 2013 will be appointed. Anyone interested in helping out in any way is asked to attend.

The Clubs AGM will take place in the clubhouse on Friday 14th December at 8.00pm.

Well done to the U21 team who are through to the County final after beating Cloughaneely in the semi final 1-11 to 0-04.

Naomh Conaill Notes 8th February 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 9,16,22&28. Two prizes of €50 went to Margaret Sweeney Ardara and Stephen Mc Kelvey, Naomh Conaill senior team. Next weeks jackpot is €3,300.

The Clubs hot buffet presentation dance will take place in the Highlands Hotel on Saturday 18th February @ 8pm. Music by Derailed. Tickets €20 and are available from The Paperstop, The Craft gallery, The Co-Op or contact Rosaleen Doherty.

There is a referees refreshers course on Thursday 16th February @ 7.30pm and an umpires course on Wednesday 29th February @ 7.30pm. Both courses are in Jackson’s Hotel Ballybofey. Anyone interested is asked to contact Patsy Furey.

Club membership for 2012 is now due. €30 for adult membership and €10 for youth. There is also €100 membership which includes membership and entry into the weekly lotto. Membership forms are now available on the clubs website. There will be a registration night in the Clubhouse on Friday 10th February between 8 & 9pm.

The club would like to wish the County Vocational school team especially manager Seosamh Mc Kelvey, mentor Martin Regan and our players James Doherty and Ciaran Thompson the best of luck when they take on Cavan in the rescheduled Ulster final this Wednesday 8th February.
