Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 30th August 2016

There was no winner of this week Gaa Lotto; the numbers drawn out were 7-13-17-29  and the 2x€50 went to Rose Mc Cahill, Derries and Cormac + Kelly Quinn, Mully Next week’s Jackpot will be €8,000.

Naomh Conaill club 200+ draw number 1 took place on Tuesday 23rd Aug at bingo and the winners were as follows €300 Pat Eamonn Boyle Glen Rd, 7x€100 Pauline Gallagher, Mullantyboyle; Bradas O’Donnell, Tullyard; Ann Marie Brennan, Ardara; Joe Gallagher, Derries; Carla Doherty, Station Rd; John Boyle, Stranaglough; Pauline Doherty, Mennahalla. Congratulations to all the winners and the next draw will take place on Tuesday 6th Sept at Bingo. Naomh Conaill senior and reserves made it two out of two wins in the Michael Murphy sports Championship with victories over Termon, and last Sunday over Four Masters winning reserves 3-18 to 3-4 and senior 5-12 to 1-11. They will now play the 3rd round at home against Gweedore on Sunday 4th Sept at 12:30 and 2pm.

Our U16s played out a hard fought battle with Killybegs last Monday evening in Ardara in the regional final but unfortunately fell short by 1 point in the end, They will now play St Eunans in the all-county semi-final on Sunday 4th Sept at 6pm in Glenswilly.

On Thursday 8th September asking all members not to miss out on watching 20 locals take on 3 time world darts champion John Part in Leos Bar Glenties. Great nights fun and all proceeds go towards Naomh Conaill Gaa club.

Naomh Conaill are asking for anyone available on Saturday 3rd Sept for a few hours to help give a quick clean in and around the clubhouse and grounds of Davy Brennan memorial park from 10am in preparation for the Championship game on Sunday.

Naomh Conaill would like to thank Leo Mc Loone and all the Naomh Conaill members who helped out organise and train a wonderful summer camp for all our future stars during July and August.

Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 4th July 2016

There was no winner of this week Gaa Lotto; the numbers drawn out were 2-4-9-21 and the 2x€50 went to J.P O Donnell, Church rd Glenties and Aoife Kilbane, Ardara Next week’s Jackpot will be €7,200.

Naomh Conaill will be hosting a long summer camp through July and August starting date is Mon 4th July. The camp is on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9.30am-2.30pm. Camp will cost €5 on morning of each attendance. Family deals will be available. Camp age is 5-14 years. Free kits will be available for those who attend at least 80%. High levels of coaching from senior club players and lots of fun and games.

Congratulations to the Donegal team on their win in Ulster at the weekend, well done to all the Naomh Conaill players involved from all at Naomh Conaill.

We would like to wish our u14 girls manager and mentors the very best of luck, as they take on Termon in the County A Semi Final away in Termon next Monday the 11th of July throw in 7pm.

Robert Farrell is doing the WAAR challenge in the 14th May 2016 and all his proceeds raised are going towards the Naomh Conaill minor board. Robert will have sponsorship cards in all businesses around town and all minor board managers + Robert himself. Total distance is 53K* including; 7.5k Run along the Wild Atlantic Coastline, 42.5k broken Cycle along the Wild Atlantic Way, 2k Hike with views over the hills of Donegal and 1k kayak on Loughanure Lake. Robert also has prizes for winner picked out from the sponsorship cards on the 21st May so if you see a sponsorship card please sponsor Robert.

Congratulations to our minor team on winning the minor regional league final over Ardara last week in Glencolmcille with a score of 4-13 to 1-7.

Naomh Conaill senior and reserve teams had two great victories in the league last Saturday at home against Ardara. The next league game will be Sunday 22nd May at home against Glenswilly at 1:30pm and 3pm.

Fixtures: U-12s opening league game is against Dungloe this Wednesday 11th May on the Comp field at 7pm. Wednesday 18th away v Ardara at 7pm

County Minor League Semi Final is on Wed 11th May in O Donnell Park at 730pm v St Michaels

Naomh Conaill will play their first round of the Michael Murphy sport championship group D match at home against Termon this Saturday 14th May at 1:30pm and 3pm.

The dates and time of the Cúl Camps are available online and we would encourage parents to book in advance where possible, this will ensure gear can be ordered in advance as per County requirements. Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 22nd March 2016

There was no winner of this week Gaa Lotto; the numbers drawn out were 2-11-15-19 and the 2x€50 went to Paula Gallagher Derryconner Gortahork c/o Doc and Evelyn Whyte Ardara. Next week’s Jackpot will be €5,600.

Final membership registration day will be this Friday 25th March from 4-5pm in the clubhouse. No membership can be taking after the 31st March as it is too late.

There will be a club meeting held in the clubhouse regarding this year’s Co. Gaeltachta on Thurs 24th March at 8.30pm(after mass) . We are asking all members if they are able to help out in any way for that weekend to please attend this meeting.

The Minors started off there league campaign with a good victory at home to Ardara winning 2-8 to 0-7 on Monday last. The U14s were beaten at home by Aodh Ruadh last Friday evening. They will play four Masters at home this Saturday at 12pm.

Our seniors and reserve games v Termon was call off on Sunday last. They play on Monday 28th March away against Glenswilly at 1.30-3pm

Naomh Conaill membership for 2016 can be paid from now to 31st march 2016. Youth membership €20, Adult membership €40 or €100 includes €2 entry each week to lotto Membership forms can be got in the Inniskeel coop Glenties or from Murial Hegarty or contact any executive member.

Club Membership will be taking this Saturday 19th March between 7-8pm in Fintown.

Naomh Conaill Gaa are asking all members for help for the Donegal Gaeltacht this May, If you are available to help out in any way as in stewarding, Kitchen, Lotto, Shop can you please contact any executive member asap. There will be a meeting regarding the Gaeltacht in the clubhouse on Thursday 24th March at 8pm. Please attend.

Naomh Conaill will be collecting for Irish language at mass on St Patricks Day.

Well done to our U14 who started the league with a 1-11 to 1-6 victory away to Ardara. They are at home v Aodh Ruadh this Saturday at 12pm.

Naomh Conaill Minors had a successful start with a 7-16 to 0-7 win over Killybegs. They are at home v Ardara next Tuesday.

Our Seniors and Reserves start the league this weekend at home v Termon on Sunday and take note the two teams have agreed to play the games in reverse order Seniors at 1.30pm and reserves at 3pm.

Club Membership can be paid this Sunday from 12-1.30pm in the clubhouse before the senior game.

Anybody interested in playing football this year must have their membership paid before the 31st March.

Championship Draws were made this week Senior and reserve Termon, Gweedore and Four Masters in group D. Our U21s have Naomh Mhuire and senior C(3rd team) Ardara and Mac Cumhaills.

Naomh Conaill Senior County Quarter final meeting with Termon will take place on Saturday 12th September at Mac Cumhaill park Ballybofey at 7.30pm.
Naomh Conaill minors play Gaoth Dobhair in the semi-final replay in the banks on Wednesday 9th September at 7:00pm after a fantastic first game which ended in a draw 2-6 to 0-12.
Well done to Hughie and the Naomh Conaill ladies team on reaching the County final last Sunday but unfortunately fell short to a strong Buncrana team.
