Naomh Conaill Notes 17th April 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 11,15,16 & 20. Two prizes of €50 went to Nan Campbell Ard Mc Gill and Karen Kelly Tullyard Road Glenties. Next weeks jackpot is €2,400.

The clubs new hoddie for 2012 is now on sale in the Inniskeel Co-Op.

The Naomh Conaill Ladies would like to thank everyone who contributed to the recent Church gate collection a total of €905 was raised – your continued support is appreciated. Good luck to the U14 girls who will take part in the County Feile this week.

The U10’s are having a challenge game against Naomh Mhuire in Glenties this Saturday at 11am.

The U-12’s played in their first blitz of the year on Monday night in Glenties when they hosted Naomh Columba, Killybegs and Dungloe.They all enjoyed a great evening of football. Thanks to everyone who helped. Next Monday April 23rd at 6pm they are away to Naomh Columba (hosts) with Kilcar and Na Rossa also taking part.

The U14’s will compete in the Sean Slevin Memorial Tournament hosted by the Aodh Ruadh club in Ballyshannon this Saturday 21st April starting at 11am. Teams from Derry, Tyrone, Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim will be participating in what promises to be a great days football.

The U16’s got a draw in their Championship Preliminary round first leg game to Dungloe on Monday night. Dungloe 1-08 0-11 Naomh Conaill. This Monday April 23rd they are back in league action when they play Aodh Ruadh in the League Regional Semi final. This game is fixed for Dunkineely at 7pm.

The third team had a good away victory against Pettigo on Saturday. Pettigo 2-10 3-10 Naomh Conaill.

The Seniors continued their winning ways at the weekend with a victory over Glenswilly. Naomh Conaill 1-17 0-06 Glenswilly. The reserves got their first win in the league when they also defeated Glenswilly 1-08 to 1-04. This weekend is a busy weekend for both teams as they both have 2 games. On Friday April 20th they are away to our neighbours Ardara at 6.30 & 7.45 and then on Sunday April 22nd they entertain Dungloe at home 1.30 and 3.00.

The minors got their year off to a winning start when they overcame St Nauls in Glenties last Friday night. Naomh Conaill 1-16 0-04 St Nauls. This Wednesday 18th they are away to Dungloe @ 7pm.
