Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 18th October 2016

There was no winner of this week Gaa Lotto; the numbers drawn out were 8-11-13-29 and the 2x€50 went to Barbara Bonner, Straboy and Connie Doherty, Station rd. Next week’s Jackpot will be €8,700.

Congratulations to our Minor and 3rd Teams on reaching there County finals this weekend. The Minors defeated St Michaels 4-21 to 2-3 and will now play St Eunans. The 3rd Team defeated St Eunans 0-10 to 0-7 and play Glenswilly. Good luck to both teams and management involved from all at Naomh Conaill Gaa.

Naomh Conaill are hosting a Quiz night this Saturday 28th May in Kennedys Bar at 9:30pm. All proceeds will go to Naomh Conaill Gaeltachta expenses. Come along and support this Quiz for a fun night, Teams of 4 people €20 per team. Raffle prizes on the night.

Naomh Conaill would like to thank Robert Farrell who done the Waar challenge and his money raised is going to Naomh Conaill minor board. Well done Robert. The prizes that Robert will be giving out from his sponsorship cards, draw will take place in Kennedys Bar Glenties on Saturday night during the Quiz.

Naomh Conaill Senior and Reserve got two more points in the All Sports Division 1 league on Saturday last against Glenswilly at home with a score line of Reserve 3-11 to 1-7 and senior 4-8 to 0-3

Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 10th May 2016

There was no winner of this week Gaa Lotto; the numbers drawn out were 3-9-29-30 and the 2x€50 went to Martin Doc Nairin Road and Anna O’Donnell, Keelin Mc Gill Fintown  Next week’s Jackpot will be €6,400.

Naomh Conaill executive would like to congratulate all the winners of the Gaeltacht and thank all the teams for taking part in the competition in Glenties last weekend. Big Thanks must go to everyone who helped out to make this weekend happen which includes Kitchen staff, shop staff, stewards, Lotto sellers and anyone else who helped out in any way. Naomh Conaill would like to thank all who sponsored the club in any way for the weekend. Robert Farrell is doing the WAAR challenge in the 14th May 2016 and all his proceeds raised are going towards the Naomh Conaill minor board. Robert will have sponsorship cards in all businesses around town and all minor board managers + Robert himself. Total distance is 53K* including; 7.5k Run along the Wild Atlantic Coastline, 42.5k broken Cycle along the Wild Atlantic Way, 2k Hike with views over the hills of Donegal and 1k kayak on Loughanure Lake. Robert also has prizes for winner picked out from the sponsorship cards on the 21st May so if you see a sponsorship card please sponsor Robert.

Congratulations to our minor team on winning the minor regional league final over Ardara last week in Glencolmcille with a score of 4-13 to 1-7.

Naomh Conaill senior and reserve teams had two great victories in the league last Saturday at home against Ardara. The next league game will be Sunday 22nd May at home against Glenswilly at 1:30pm and 3pm.

Fixtures: U-12s opening league game is against Dungloe this Wednesday 11th May on the Comp field at 7pm. Wednesday 18th away v Ardara at 7pm

County Minor League Semi Final is on Wed 11th May in O Donnell Park at 730pm v St Michaels

Naomh Conaill will play their first round of the Michael Murphy sport championship group D match at home against Termon this Saturday 14th May at 1:30pm and 3pm.

Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 22nd March 2016

There was no winner of this week Gaa Lotto; the numbers drawn out were 2-11-15-19 and the 2x€50 went to Paula Gallagher Derryconner Gortahork c/o Doc and Evelyn Whyte Ardara. Next week’s Jackpot will be €5,600.

Final membership registration day will be this Friday 25th March from 4-5pm in the clubhouse. No membership can be taking after the 31st March as it is too late.

There will be a club meeting held in the clubhouse regarding this year’s Co. Gaeltachta on Thurs 24th March at 8.30pm(after mass) . We are asking all members if they are able to help out in any way for that weekend to please attend this meeting.

The Minors started off there league campaign with a good victory at home to Ardara winning 2-8 to 0-7 on Monday last. The U14s were beaten at home by Aodh Ruadh last Friday evening. They will play four Masters at home this Saturday at 12pm.

Our seniors and reserve games v Termon was call off on Sunday last. They play on Monday 28th March away against Glenswilly at 1.30-3pm

There was no winner of this weeks lotto jackpot, numbers drawn out were 6-11-13-15 and the €50×2 went to John McLoone Mill Road and Annmarie Cunningham Glen Road. Next weeks jackpot will be €3,200.

Naomh Conaill would like to thank everyone who attended and helped out in anyway to a fantastic quiz night on good Friday in the Community Centre Glenties.

Our seniors had a hard battle against Glenfin on Friday last in the Comortas Peile na Gaeltachta with a scoreline of 2-15 to 2-14.

Well done to our minor boys who had a good victory over Aodh Rua on Sunday last with a scoreline of 3-9 to 0-11.

Good luck to Amy Boyle Carr and Danielle McDevitt who are heading to Scotland this week to play for Ireland.

Well done to our seniors and reserves who got 2 more points in the league with both teams winning v Glenswilly at home on Sunday last. Reserves Naomh Conaill 1-10 Glenswilly 3-2 and senior Naomh Conaill 1-15 Glenswilly 1-10.

A special thanks must go to Seamus O’Malley who donated a fantastic homemade Easter egg to Naomh Conaill and well done to Gerry O’Donnell Mennahalla who guessed the correct weight of the egg weighing 7lb 9oz.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 30th April 2013

There was no winner last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2,3,19 and 20. Two prizes of €50 went to Jackie Gallagher 16 Clos Naomh Conaill and James Griffin Derries. Next weeks jackpot is €6,30

The club is currently running a draw 1st prize 2 All Ireland football tickets, overnight accomodation in the Hartcourt hotel and €500 spending money. 2nd prize 2 tickets for the Donegal v Tyrone game. Tickets are €3 each or 2 for €5 and are available from club members.

The U14’s had a comprehensive victory over St Nauls in the league on Thursday night. Naomh Conaill 9-11 3-08 St Nauls. They continued their winning ways in the Championship on Monday night when they overcame Four Masters. Naomh Conaill 8-07 2-07 Four Masters. They are in championship action again on Wednesday night when they are away to Bundoran at 7.30pm.

The U15’s are through to the gaeltacht final after they overcame Glenswilly in the semi final. Glenswilly 0-03 5-09 Naomh Conaill.They now play Gweedore at 12noon on Monday 6th May in Glen.

The thirds get their season underway this Saturday 4th May at 7.30pm when they travel to Glenswilly.

The reserves had a good victory over Kilcar on Sunday in the league. Naomh Conaill 1-11 1-04 Kilcar. This Sunday 5th May they are away to Ardara at 1.30pm. It finished all square in the senior game. Naomh Conaill 0-08 0-08 Kilcar.
Naomh Conaill Ladies had their church gate collection at the three churches in the parish on the weekend of the 13th/14th April. The total amount collected was €901.47. We would like to thank everyone for their continued support.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 26th June 2012

The lotto numbers for last week were 4,13,17 & 27. Congratulations to Laoise Ward who matched all four numbers to win the jackpot €3,300. Next weeks jackpot is €2,000.

The Naomh Conaill Cul Camp will take place from the 23rd-27th July in Davy Brennan Memorial Park. For further information contact Daragh on 087 2121036.

Naomh Conaill will be hosts to this weeks U-10 Go Games Blitz on Saturday 30th June at 12 noon. The visiting teams will be Naomh Columba, Kilcar and Naomh Mhuire.

The U-14 Division One League Regional Final between Naomh Conaill v Four Masters has been fixed for Monday 2nd July at 7.30pm. No venue has yet been selected so check clubs website for details.

The thirds had a great victory over Naomh Columba last Friday. Naomh Conaill 4-13 1-04 Naomh Columba. The thirds are away to Ardara this Friday 29th June at 8.00pm.

The reserves had a fine victory over Glenswilly at the weekend. Glenswilly 2-06 3-12 Naomh Conaill. The seniors were beaten by Glenswilly. Glenswilly 2-07 1-07 Naomh Conaill. This Sunday 1st July both the reserves and seniors are away to Dungloe in the league. The reserve game is at 1.30pm followed by the senior game at 3.00pm.

Good luck to the Donegal senior team especially the Naomh Conaill lads when they take on Tyrone in the Ulster Football semi final this Saturday in Clones.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 21st June 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 3,7,15 & 19. Two prizes of €50 went to Nan Doherty, Dungloe and Kathy Connell, Portnoo. Next weeks jackpot is €3,300.

The 8th draw in the 200 club took place at the Community Centre bingo last Tuesday. 1st prize €500 Joe Mc Glinchey Main Street Glenties. 5 prizes of €100 each Columba O’Donnell Donegal Town, Cormac Molloy Narin Road Glenties, Annmarie Brennan Ardara, Francis Houston The Co-Op and Kathy Gildea Kilraine.

Good luck to the Naomh Conaill U-14 Girls team, their Managers and Mentors who travel to Edenderry, Co Offaly to take part in the All Ireland Feile this weekend 21st – 24th June. This is the second year in a row that the girls have qualified for the All Ireland Final. The Ladies board, managers and mentors of the team would like to thank everyone who has sponsored, Supported and helped out over the last few weeks in fundraising for the trip.

The U-8 Go Games is in Naomh Columba this Saturday 23rd June at 12 noon. Naomh Columba is hosts to Dungloe, Na Rossa and ourselves Naomh Conaill.

Well done to the U-14’s who are through to the League Regional Final are a very convincing victory last week against Aodh Ruadh. Naomh Conaill 4-14 1-05 Aodh Ruadh. They will now play Four Masters in the final. Next Wednesday 27th June they play Naomh Mhuire in the banks at 7.30pm in the U-14 Championship Division One.

The minors are away to Ardara next Wednesday 27th June at 7.30pm

The thirds are home this Saturday against Naomh Columba at 7.30pm.

The reserves and seniors are away to Glenswilly on Sunday 23rd June. The reserve game is at 1.30pm followed by the senior game at 3.00pm.

The Ulster Football semi final against Tyrone in Clones on Saturday 30th June will NOT be an All Ticket game. Only the Gerry Arthurs Stand will be ticketed. Names for tickets must be given to any of the senior board club officers before friday evening.

The Naomh Conaill Ladies would like to thank everyone who contributed to the recent Church gate collection a total of €905 was raised – your continued support is appreciated. Good luck to the U14 girls who will take part in the County Feile this week.

The U10’s are having a challenge game against Naomh Mhuire in Glenties this Saturday at 11am.

The U-12’s played in their first blitz of the year on Monday night in Glenties when they hosted Naomh Columba, Killybegs and Dungloe.They all enjoyed a great evening of football. Thanks to everyone who helped. Next Monday April 23rd at 6pm they are away to Naomh Columba (hosts) with Kilcar and Na Rossa also taking part.

The U14’s will compete in the Sean Slevin Memorial Tournament hosted by the Aodh Ruadh club in Ballyshannon this Saturday 21st April starting at 11am. Teams from Derry, Tyrone, Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim will be participating in what promises to be a great days football.

The U16’s got a draw in their Championship Preliminary round first leg game to Dungloe on Monday night. Dungloe 1-08 0-11 Naomh Conaill. This Monday April 23rd they are back in league action when they play Aodh Ruadh in the League Regional Semi final. This game is fixed for Dunkineely at 7pm.

The third team had a good away victory against Pettigo on Saturday. Pettigo 2-10 3-10 Naomh Conaill.

The Seniors continued their winning ways at the weekend with a victory over Glenswilly. Naomh Conaill 1-17 0-06 Glenswilly. The reserves got their first win in the league when they also defeated Glenswilly 1-08 to 1-04. This weekend is a busy weekend for both teams as they both have 2 games. On Friday April 20th they are away to our neighbours Ardara at 6.30 & 7.45 and then on Sunday April 22nd they entertain Dungloe at home 1.30 and 3.00.

The minors got their year off to a winning start when they overcame St Nauls in Glenties last Friday night. Naomh Conaill 1-16 0-04 St Nauls. This Wednesday 18th they are away to Dungloe @ 7pm.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 11th April 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 7,11,17 & 26. Two prizes of €50 went to Tommy Donaghue, Naomh Conaill senior team and Ownie Mc Menamin, Fintown. Next weeks jackpot is €2,300.

The U-12’s get their season underway this Monday 16th April @ 6pm with a Go Games Blitz in Killybegs. They are hosts to Naomh Conaill, Naomh Columba and Dungloe.

The U-16’s were beaten by Ardara in the league on Monday night. Ardara 0-07 0-04 Naomh Conaill. Despite the defeat they are through to the League Regional semi final on Monday 23rd April. Before that they are in the Preliminary Round First Leg of the Championship away to Dungloe on Monday 16th April @ 7pm.

The minors also get their season underway this week when they are home to St Nauls in the league on Friday 13th April @ 7pm. They then are away to Dungloe on Wednesday 18th April @ 7pm.

Congratulatios to Tommy Dwyer who was appointed 3rd team manager for the coming year. They played their 1st game in the league last Saturday against Glenswilly and were beaten 2-05 0-13. This Saturday they are away to Pettigo @ 7pm.

Both the Seniors and Reserve team were in league action on Monday against St Eunans. Our reserve team lost 3-11 2-09. The senior team recorded a victory on a score line of St Eunans 1-10 1-12 Naomh Conaill. They now turn their attentions to a home clash against Glenswilly this weekend.
