Our next club 200 draw is now underway. The first draw will be held in August and every first Tuesday of each month for the rest of the year. To enter for the draw, contact your seller or any club officer, €10 per month or €100 per year. There is also a payment of €50 can be paid in two installments

Naomh Conaill are having a general clean-up day in and around the football field grounds next Saturday 19th August meeting @10am. Asking if anyone is available to please come and help out.

Naomh Conaill minors will face An Clochán Liath this Wednesday 26th July at 7pm in Dungloe in the County Minor Championship group stage. The second group game will be on Wednesday 2nd August at 7pm in Glenties against Aodh Ruadh Ballyshannon, The last group game Naomh Conaill will face Chill Cartha on Wednesday 15th August at 7pm in Glenties. A very enjoyable evening was had in Leos Bar on Thursday 8th September when 3 time World Champion, John Part took on a number of local dart enthusiasts. A number of people helped to make this a very successful night and in turn raised funds for our local GAA club. Over €800 was raised on the night. Special thanks to David Molloy of Glenside Bacon who supplied food for the large crowd. The Highlands Hotel sponsored accommodation of which was much appreciated. All Sports in Donegal Town kindly sponsored a dart Board. Conal Herron was a very natural MC for the night and also thanks go to Michael Boyle and John Dubh Ward who looked after the scoring side of things. A huge thank you to each of the local dart throwers who all raised sponsorship to get a chance to play against one of the best. The night was rounded off with our own DJ Bean entertaining the crowd and a big thank you goes out to him also.

Congratulations to our Minor management and team on becoming regional minor champions on last Wednesday overcoming Aodh Ruadh in a fantastic ten goal game of football with a score line of 3-19 to 7-10 in Donegal town.

Well done to our u21 on reaching the semi-final of this year’s championship defeating Four Masters 4-9 to 0-09in the Quarter final in convoy.

Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 30th August 2016

Naomh Conaill senior and reserves made it two out of two wins in the Michael Murphy sports Championship with victories over Termon, and last Sunday over Four Masters winning reserves 3-18 to 3-4 and senior 5-12 to 1-11. They will now play the 3rd round at home against Gweedore on Sunday 4th Sept at 12:30 and 2pm.

Our U16s played out a hard fought battle with Killybegs last Monday evening in Ardara in the regional final but unfortunately fell short by 1 point in the end, They will now play St Eunans in the all-county semi-final on Sunday 4th Sept at 6pm in Glenswilly.

On Thursday 8th September asking all members not to miss out on watching 20 locals take on 3 time world darts champion John Part in Leos Bar Glenties. Great nights fun and all proceeds go towards Naomh Conaill Gaa club.

Best wishes to Naomh Browne who will compete in the half time exhibition game at this Sundays All Ireland semi-final in Croke Park. Naomh was one of two players from Donegal selected to play in the match following county school trials held earlier this year. Good luck Naomh.

Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 15th March 2016

Naomh Conaill membership for 2016 can be paid from now to 31st march 2016. Youth membership €20, Adult membership €40 or €100 includes €2 entry each week to lotto Membership forms can be got in the Inniskeel coop Glenties or from Murial Hegarty or contact any executive member.

Club Membership will be taking this Saturday 19th March between 7-8pm in Fintown.

Naomh Conaill Gaa are asking all members for help for the Donegal Gaeltacht this May, If you are available to help out in any way as in stewarding, Kitchen, Lotto, Shop can you please contact any executive member asap. There will be a meeting regarding the Gaeltacht in the clubhouse on Thursday 24th March at 8pm. Please attend.

Naomh Conaill will be collecting for Irish language at mass on St Patricks Day.

Well done to our U14 who started the league with a 1-11 to 1-6 victory away to Ardara. They are at home v Aodh Ruadh this Saturday at 12pm.

Naomh Conaill Minors had a successful start with a 7-16 to 0-7 win over Killybegs. They are at home v Ardara next Tuesday.

Our Seniors and Reserves start the league this weekend at home v Termon on Sunday and take note the two teams have agreed to play the games in reverse order Seniors at 1.30pm and reserves at 3pm.

Club Membership can be paid this Sunday from 12-1.30pm in the clubhouse before the senior game.

Anybody interested in playing football this year must have their membership paid before the 31st March.

Championship Draws were made this week Senior and reserve Termon, Gweedore and Four Masters in group D. Our U21s have Naomh Mhuire and senior C(3rd team) Ardara and Mac Cumhaills.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 29th August 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2, 7, 24 and 30. Two prizes of €50 went to Annie Boyle Station Road and Louisa Byrne Glen Road. Next weeks jackpot is €3,600.

The U13’s got their year off to a winning start with a very comprehensive victory over Dungloe. Dungloe 3-06 6-12 Naomh Conaill. Next Sunday 1st September they are home to Kilcar at 12 noon.

Well done to the U16 team who defeated Killybegs in the preliminary round 1st leg of the championship.Killybegs 1-05 5-16 Naomh Conaill. The 2nd leg is due to take place in Glenties on Wednesday 4th September.

Well done to the U21 team who are through to the quarter final after they defeated Ardara by six points. Naomh Conaill 0-13 0-06 Ardara. They now play Convoy in the quarter final.

Congratulations to the reserve team and their manager who are through to the reserve county final after they defeated Four Masters in the semi final. Naomh Conaill 1-08 0-06 Four Masters. They now play Gaoth Dobhair in the final.

The senior team secured two more valuable points in Towney on Sunday when they defeated Kilcar 2-13 to 2-08. Well done boys.

A Mr and Mrs competition takes place in the Highlands hotel on Saturday 7th September as part of Eileen Gallaghers Lord mayor competition. A great nights fun is in store when eight local couples battle it out to take the honour of the perfect Mr and Mrs. Tickets to attend are available from the Highlands hotel, the Co-Op at just €10 or by contacting Eileen herself or any of the participating couples. Naomh Conaill Club Notes 3rd July 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 11,14,16 and 17. Two prizes of €50 went to Rose Solly Station Road and Anna McCole 21 Solomons Court Letterkenny. Next weeks jackpot is €2,800.

The June draw in the 200 plus club took place last Tuesday night at the Community centre bingo. 1st prize €500 Joe Gallagher Derries. 5 prizes of €100 each Leo Mc Loone Jnr Main street, Kevin Ward Edeninfagh, Sarah Mc Glynn Fintown, Nellie Doherty Ard Mc Gill and Ann O’Donnell Derries

The U12’s had a comprehensive victory over Ardara on Monday night. They are away to Four Masters on Saturday 6th July at 6.30pm.

Commiseration to the U14 team and their manager who were beaten in the regional final by Ardara. Naomh Conaill 2-06 4-19 Ardara.

The U16’s are away to Dungloe on Friday night at 7.30pm

In the minor championship it finished all square between Naomh Mhuire and Naomh Conaill. 2-10 each.

Commiseration to our senior team who made their exit from the championship after they were defeated by St Eunans on Saturday evening. St Eunans 2-15 3-09 Naomh Conaill. The reserves won by the narrowest of margins St Eunans 1-6 1-7 Naomh Coanill. They are through to the championship quarter final.

The club would like to thank all the families that hosted the boys from Belfast and the girls from Kilkenny during their Feile visit last weekend. It was very much appreciated. Thanks to all the other people who helped out in any way over the weekend. The Kilkenny city girls won the Division 2 final while the O’Donovan Rossa boys were beaten in the final.

The Naomh Conaill senior ladies were narrowly beaten in the Darren Mc Ginley memorial tournament last Saturday in Glen. On Sunday they had a good league victory away to Cloughaneely. Naomh Coanill 6-15 4-08 Cloughaneely.

Names will be taken for Ulster final tickets on Friday evening from 7.30 to 8.30 in the clubhouse. Once tickets are ordered they cannot be cancelled. Stand, terrace and juvenile tickets available – prices TBC.
