Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 23rd September 2015

There was no winner of this week’s GAA lotto, numbers drawn out were 1-23-24-29. The 2x€50 went to Micheal Brennan, Main street Glenties and Frank Mc Swiggan, Gortnasillagh Glenties. Next week’s jackpot will be €3,100.

Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 8th April 2015

There was no winner of this weeks lotto jackpot, numbers drawn out were 6-11-13-15 and the €50×2 went to John McLoone Mill Road and Annmarie Cunningham Glen Road. Next weeks jackpot will be €3,200.

Naomh Conaill would like to thank everyone who attended and helped out in anyway to a fantastic quiz night on good Friday in the Community Centre Glenties.

Our seniors had a hard battle against Glenfin on Friday last in the Comortas Peile na Gaeltachta with a scoreline of 2-15 to 2-14.

Well done to our minor boys who had a good victory over Aodh Rua on Sunday last with a scoreline of 3-9 to 0-11.

Good luck to Amy Boyle Carr and Danielle McDevitt who are heading to Scotland this week to play for Ireland.

Well done to our seniors and reserves who got 2 more points in the league with both teams winning v Glenswilly at home on Sunday last. Reserves Naomh Conaill 1-10 Glenswilly 3-2 and senior Naomh Conaill 1-15 Glenswilly 1-10.

A special thanks must go to Seamus O’Malley who donated a fantastic homemade Easter egg to Naomh Conaill and well done to Gerry O’Donnell Mennahalla who guessed the correct weight of the egg weighing 7lb 9oz.

Congratulations to our reserve team on their victory over St Michaels in the Gaeltacht on Sunday last.

Congratulations to our u15s on their victory over Ardara in the Gaeltacht with a score of 3-14 to 0-10.

Naomh Conaill are hosting a family table quiz night in the community centre Glenties on Good Friday at 8.30pm Tea and coffee to be served .Please support.

Our senior team are playing Glenfin this coming Friday 3rd April at 6.30pm in the Gaeltacht in Glenfin.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 13th June 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 8,15,22 and 29. Two prizes of €50 went to Anna Mc Dyer Main Street and Fiona Gallagher Station Road. Next weeks jackpot is €2,500.

The U12’s got their season off to a very good start with two very comprehensive victories over Bundoran on Friday night and Killybegs on Monday night. Next Monday 17th they are home to Dungloe at 6.30pm.

The U14’s play Kilcar in th Division 1 championship semi final in Naomh Ultan on Friday evening at 7.30pm.

The thirds got back to winning ways last Friday when they overcame Glenfin 2-08 to 0-06. This Saturday they are away to Mac Cumhaills at 7.30pm.

The reserves are through to the to the quarter final of the reserve championship after they overcame Malin 1-05 to 5-14. While in the senior game it finished all square at 1-08 to 0-11. This Sunday it is back to league action with both teams away to Four Masters. The reserve game is at 1.30pm followed by the senior game at 3pm.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 10th October 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2, 11, 14 and 16. Two prizes of €50 went to Peter Sweeney Croagh and Teresa Furey The Glen.Next weeks jackpot is €3,500.

The 11th draw in the 200 club took place at the Community Centre bingo last Tuesday. 1st prize €500 Muriel Hegarty Mullantyboyle.5 prizes of €100 went to Ronnie Kee Mullantyboyle, Paddy Doherty Stranalough, Bernie Keeney The Rock, Senan O’Donnell Mullantyboyle and Maggie Timoney The Rock.

The U-13’s are at home to Four Masters in the league this Thursday 11th October at 5.30pm.

Both the reserves and seniors recorded away victories in the 1st Round 2nd leg of the championship against St Nauls on Saturday evening. The reserves put in a great display of football to bet St Nauls 3-14 to 0-03 while the seniors won 0-12 to 0-06. Both teams have to wait for the playoffs to see who they face in the quarter final. They will play the winners of the Glenfin v Bundoran game which is due to be played on Wednesday with the quarter final for the seniors due to be played this weekend. See clubs website for details

Congratulations to the Naomh Conaill U13 Girls who won the County Final last Wenesday. After a great performance the game ended 1-10 to 1-06. The Naomh Conaill Ladies underage had a very successful year and would like to congratulate all the players for their commitment and hard work throughout the year. Congratulations to all who was involved with the team especially the management which included Christopher Molloy, Joe Byrne, Lorraine Molloy and Caroline Boyle Carr. Well done girls.

Naomh Conaill Notes 31st May 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1,2,26 & 27. Two prizes of €50 went to Mary Doherty, Stranaglough, Glenties and Packie Mc Gettigan, Doochary. Next weeks jackpot is €3,000.

The U-10’s have a Go Games blitz this Saturday 2nd June at 12 noon in Kilcar. Kilcar are hosts to Ardara, Killybegs and ourselves.

The U-12’s next game in the league is next Monday 4th June at 6.30pm when they are home to Four Masters.

The U-14’s had another victory last week over our neighbours Ardara. The final score was Ardara 5-06 Naomh Conaill 3-16. They have now qualified for the League Regional Semi-final.

In the All county league last Friday the reserve got a draw with Four Masters 3-11 each while the senior team had their first defeat in the league this year. Four Masters 0-13 1-08 Naomh Conaill.

The third team had a great victory last Saturday evening when they defeated Glenfin 3-05 to 4-14.

The club is currently selling Club Donegal cards at a reduced price of €50. These cards gives you free admission to all club matches (league, championship & underage) in the county.Anyone interested in purchasing one can contact Seamus 087 4106737.

Club merchandise is now on sale in the Co-Op. Club jerseys are now available from age 1-2 years upwards.

The club has 2 defibrillators. One of these is in the hallway of the clubhoue while the other one is in the Garda Station so that it can be accessed by the community at all times.

The U-8’s are away this Saturday 26th May for a blitz in Killybegs at 12 noon. Killybegs are hosts to Dungloe, Kilcar and ourselves Naomh Conaill.

Next Monday 28th May at 6.30pm the U-12’s are home to Aodh Ruadh.

Last Wednesday the U-14’s played Four Masters in the league. The game ended Naomh Conaill 4-13 4-07 Four Masters. Next Wednesday 30th May at 7.30pm they are home to Dungloe.

The thirds are away on Saturday evening to Glenfin at 7.30pm.

The reserves and seniors are both out in the league this Friday when they are away to Four Masters. The reserve game is at 6.00pm followed by the senior game at 7.30pm.

There will be a fun day and a novelty football match in the field this Sunday starting at 1pm with the football match at 3pm. This is in aid of the Naomh Conaill U-14 girls who will be representing Donegal at the feile in Laois/Offaly in June.

Well done to the Donegal minors and seniors on defeating Cavan in the preliminary round of the Ulster Championship. Good luck to the Donegal minors, especially Mark Gallagher when they take on Derry in the Ulster quarter final this Sunday in Omagh at 7pm.

Naomh Conaill Notes 31st August 2011

Commiserations to Jim and the Donegal team on losing to Dublin last Sunday in the All Ireland semi final in Croke Park.

There was no winner of last weeks club lotto. The numbers drawn were 1,4,8,11. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Aine Mc Nelis, Derries and PJ Furey, Mullnamore. This weeks jackpot is 8,100 Euro.

Well done to the U14s who beat Glenfin in the co semi final last Friday and we wish them luck in the co final against St Eunans which is due to be played next Wednesday evening in Ballybofey.

Good luck also to the ladies who play Cloughaneely in the co final replay this Sunday in Convoy at 2pm.

The minors are away to St Johns in Fintra next Monday at 7pm.

Anyone interested in joining the 200 club should contact any club officer before next Monday. There will be a club meeting in the clubhouse next Monday night at 9pm and all 200 club sheets should be returned at the meeting.

Congratulations to the U14 girls who beat St Eunans in the Co Feile final last Thursday in Glenfin. They now go on to play in the All Ireland Feile in Cork in June.

The U14 boys are through to the co final of Feile after winning the Regional final last Saturday beating St Nauls and Bundoran in Donegal Town. They are due to meet the Northern winners in the co final this Saturday.

Naomh Conaill Notes 21st September 2010

The 3rds were in action last Saturday at home defeating Glenfin in the league 1-12 to 1-8 at home. They play Mac Cumhaills in the semi final of the Junior B championship this Saturday at 5.30pm in Donegal Town.

All official club gear is on sale in Mc Glincheys. The club have a new range of adidas gear on sale which is selling very well with only a limited amount of stock left. Flags and car flags with the club crest are also on sale.

The club held a very sucessful Harvest Fair draw last week and the following were the winners 1st prize 2 All Ireland tickets plus accommodation went to Mary Kennedy Main Street Glenties, 2nd prize 200 Euro Pauline Doherty, Mill Road, 3rd prize 150 Euro Brenda Doherty, Mill Road and 4th prize 100 Euro Robert Freeburn.
