Naomh Conaill Club Notes 17th October 2013

All roads lead to Ballybofey this Sunday for what is a really big day for the club. Leo’s reserve team take on Gweedore in the championship reserve county final replay at 1.45pm. Good luck to Leo, his mentors and the team. This is followed by the senior final which Naomh Conaill clubman Ian Molloy is refereeing accompanied by his umpires Anthony Molloy, Brian Carr, Michael Regan(Naomh Conaill) and Lee Jordan(Four Masters). Good luck lads.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2,4,17 and 25. Two prizes of €50 went to Kathleen Gallagher Sheskantinny Bridge and Jacinta Crossan Co Derry. Next weeks jackpot is €4,300.

Sunday was a great day for the club winning three out of three matches. First up were the U16’s who had a one point win over Aodh Ruadh. Naomh Conaill 2-07 3-03 Aodh Ruadh. The return leg will be played this Sunday in Ballyshannon at 12noon. This was followed by the reserves who had a comprehensive victory over Ardara. Naomh Conaill 0-16 1-03 Ardara. The seniors secured there place in Division One for next year when they put in a brilliant second half display to come out comprehensive winners over Ardara. Naomh Conaill 4-14 2-08 Ardara. This was the seniors last game of the year.

Hard luck to the U13’s who were beaten by St Nauls after extra time in the semi final on Monday night. St Nauls 4-12 4-08 Naomh Conaill.

James Gallagher is running a Last Man or Woman standing competition as part of his Lord Mayor campaign. The winner will receive a very impressive 40″ Samsung smart HD TV.
