Congratulations to our Senior and Reserve teams on making it three out of three wins in the Michael Murphy Sports Championship group D last Saturday with a great victory over Gweedore winning reserve 2-13 to 0-13 and Senior 2-18 to 0-11. Our seniors go on to play St Eunans in the quarter final and our reserves play Kilcar. Good luck to both managers and teams.

Good Luck to our 3rd team who face St Eunans this Saturday at 1pm in the Michael Murphy senior C championship semi-final. Venue to be confirmed later.

On Thursday 8th September asking all members not to miss out on watching 20 locals take on 3 time world darts champion John Part in Leos Bar Glenties. Great nights fun and all proceeds go towards Naomh Conaill Gaa club.

Friday 9th September Naomh Conaill will host a 7aside tournament for over 35s in memory of the late Matthew Mannering in Davy Brennan Park Glenties starting at 6:30pm. This tournament is a fitting tribute to a young man taken away from us in his prime. This tournament includes former teammates and former opponents from neighbouring clubs revive their playing days.

Fixtures Saturday 10th September 3rd team semi-final Naomh Conaill v St Eunans at 1pm, Sat 10th senior and reserve division 1 league Termon v Naomh Conaill at 5pm and 6:30pm in Termon.

Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 30th August 2016

There was no winner of this week Gaa Lotto; the numbers drawn out were 7-13-17-29  and the 2x€50 went to Rose Mc Cahill, Derries and Cormac + Kelly Quinn, Mully Next week’s Jackpot will be €8,000.

Naomh Conaill senior and reserves made it two out of two wins in the Michael Murphy sports Championship with victories over Termon, and last Sunday over Four Masters winning reserves 3-18 to 3-4 and senior 5-12 to 1-11. They will now play the 3rd round at home against Gweedore on Sunday 4th Sept at 12:30 and 2pm.

Our U16s played out a hard fought battle with Killybegs last Monday evening in Ardara in the regional final but unfortunately fell short by 1 point in the end, They will now play St Eunans in the all-county semi-final on Sunday 4th Sept at 6pm in Glenswilly.

Naomh Conaill are asking for anyone available on Saturday 3rd Sept for a few hours to help give a quick clean in and around the clubhouse and grounds of Davy Brennan memorial park from 10am in preparation for the Championship game on Sunday.

Naomh Conaill are hosting a Quiz night this Saturday 28th May in Kennedys Bar at 9:30pm. All proceeds will go to Naomh Conaill Gaeltachta expenses. Come along and support this Quiz for a fun night, Teams of 4 people €20 per team. Raffle prizes on the night.

Naomh Conaill Senior and Reserve got two more points in the All Sports Division 1 league on Saturday last against Glenswilly at home with a score line of Reserve 3-11 to 1-7 and senior 4-8 to 0-3

Naomh Conaill GAA Club Notes 15th March 2016

There was no winner of this week Gaa Lotto; the numbers drawn out were 6-16-17-25 and the 2x€50 went to Brid Furey, Ard Patrick and Ann Marie Cunningham, Glen Road Glenties. Next week’s Jackpot will be €5,600.

Naomh Conaill membership for 2016 can be paid from now to 31st march 2016. Youth membership €20, Adult membership €40 or €100 includes €2 entry each week to lotto Membership forms can be got in the Inniskeel coop Glenties or from Murial Hegarty or contact any executive member.

Club Membership will be taking this Saturday 19th March between 7-8pm in Fintown.

Naomh Conaill Gaa are asking all members for help for the Donegal Gaeltacht this May, If you are available to help out in any way as in stewarding, Kitchen, Lotto, Shop can you please contact any executive member asap. There will be a meeting regarding the Gaeltacht in the clubhouse on Thursday 24th March at 8pm. Please attend.

Naomh Conaill will be collecting for Irish language at mass on St Patricks Day.

Well done to our U14 who started the league with a 1-11 to 1-6 victory away to Ardara. They are at home v Aodh Ruadh this Saturday at 12pm.

Naomh Conaill Minors had a successful start with a 7-16 to 0-7 win over Killybegs. They are at home v Ardara next Tuesday.

Our Seniors and Reserves start the league this weekend at home v Termon on Sunday and take note the two teams have agreed to play the games in reverse order Seniors at 1.30pm and reserves at 3pm.

Club Membership can be paid this Sunday from 12-1.30pm in the clubhouse before the senior game.

Anybody interested in playing football this year must have their membership paid before the 31st March.

Championship Draws were made this week Senior and reserve Termon, Gweedore and Four Masters in group D. Our U21s have Naomh Mhuire and senior C(3rd team) Ardara and Mac Cumhaills.

There was no winner of this week Gaa club lotto, numbers drawn out were 1-22-24-26 and the €50×2 went to Luca Cannon Mill Road c/o Bridie Doherty and Mary Furey Ardara. Next week’s jackpot will be €3,300.
Club 200 draw no 11 was held last week and the winners were €500 Shauna Molloy ,Clos Naomh conaill and €100×5 James Griffin, Derries & Ann Gallagher (Phildy), The Glen & David Kelch, The wood & Mary Kennedy, Main street & Sally Mc Guigan, Ard Connell. Congratulations to our minor boys on their victory over Killybegs at home on Friday last in the division 1 league semi-final with a score of 4-19 to 2-7. They now play Naomh Columba in the league final.

Congratulations to our seniors and reserves team who are sitting top of the division 1 league with victories over Four Masters on sat last with a score line of reserve 4-13 to 0-5 and senior 4-8 to 1-7.

U14 league fixture Naomh Conaill v Dungloe in Glenties on sat 18th April at 12.

There will be a club executive meeting on Friday 17th April at 8pm in the clubhouse.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 4th November 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 5,13,19 and 30 . Two prizes of €50 went to Breege Gallagher Rosbeg and Kelly Quinn Mully. Next weeks jackpot is €4,600.

The October draw in the 200 plus club took place last Tuesday night at the Community centre bingo. 1st prize €500 Theresa Molloy Fintown. 5 prizes of €100 each Laurence Hegarty Ballybofey, Owen Ward Edeninfagh, Donal Boyle Ard Connell, Eamon Boyle Meenalaragan and Brid Timoney The Rock.

Hard luck to the U16 team who were beaten in the final by Dungloe on Friday night in Ardara. Naomh Conaill 0-08 1-18 Dungloe.

The reserve team were beaten by Gweedore in the league on Saturday. Gweedore 5-10 3-09 Naomh Conaill.

The clubs AGM will take place in the clubhouse on Friday 6th December at 7.30pm.

The clubs Strictly Come Jiving will take place on Saturday 23rd November in the Highlands Hotel. Tickets are €15 and are for sale in the Highlands Hotel, The Co-Op, Maxwells Ballinamore or from any of the dancers taking part.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 24th October 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2, 16, 19 and 21. Two prizes of €50 went to Ann Mc Dyre Maas and Margaret Flannery Ardun. Next weeks jackpot is €4,400.

The U16’s were beaten in the semi final 2nd leg of the championship last Sunday. Aodh Ruadh 2-7 1-2 Naomh Conaill. This now goes to a third game as Naomh Conaill won the 1st leg. This game is due to be played this weekend.

Commiserations to the reserve team who were beaten by Gweedore in the county final. Naomh Conaill 0-6 2-6 Gweedore.
Good luck to the U21 team who take on MacCumhaills in the county semi final this Saturday in Glenfin at 2pm.

Well done to the U14 girls and their managers who won the county final last Saturday after they overcame Gweedore .

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 17th October 2013

All roads lead to Ballybofey this Sunday for what is a really big day for the club. Leo’s reserve team take on Gweedore in the championship reserve county final replay at 1.45pm. Good luck to Leo, his mentors and the team. This is followed by the senior final which Naomh Conaill clubman Ian Molloy is refereeing accompanied by his umpires Anthony Molloy, Brian Carr, Michael Regan(Naomh Conaill) and Lee Jordan(Four Masters). Good luck lads.

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2,4,17 and 25. Two prizes of €50 went to Kathleen Gallagher Sheskantinny Bridge and Jacinta Crossan Co Derry. Next weeks jackpot is €4,300.

Sunday was a great day for the club winning three out of three matches. First up were the U16’s who had a one point win over Aodh Ruadh. Naomh Conaill 2-07 3-03 Aodh Ruadh. The return leg will be played this Sunday in Ballyshannon at 12noon. This was followed by the reserves who had a comprehensive victory over Ardara. Naomh Conaill 0-16 1-03 Ardara. The seniors secured there place in Division One for next year when they put in a brilliant second half display to come out comprehensive winners over Ardara. Naomh Conaill 4-14 2-08 Ardara. This was the seniors last game of the year.

Hard luck to the U13’s who were beaten by St Nauls after extra time in the semi final on Monday night. St Nauls 4-12 4-08 Naomh Conaill.

Naomh Conaill Club Notes 3rd October 2013

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2, 15, 17 and 27. Two prizes of €50 went to Liz Buckley Fintown and Marie Boyle Fintown. Next weeks jackpot is €4,100.

The September draw in the 200 plus club took place last Tuesday night at the Community centre bingo. 1st prize €500 Anthony Burke Bruckless. 5 prizes of €100 each Bernie Keeney The Rock, Kevin Ward Edeninfagh, Patrick Gill Meenalaragan, Nora Mc Swiggan/Annette Mc Gettigan Glenties and Ann Mc Glinchey Tullyard Road.

Congratulations to the U16’s who are through to the league county final after they defeated Gweedore 3-7 to 0-15 on Saturday. They now play St Eunans in the final. The game is fixed for Sunday 6th October at 1.00pm with the venue TBC.

The reserves have to do it all over again after their game against Gweedore in the championship final ended in a draw. Naomh Conaill 0-17 2-11 Gweedore.

The seniors put in a great display of football to defeat Killybegs 3-14 to 0-09 in the league. They now have 1 game left to play which is at home against Ardara.
