Naomh Conaill Club Notes 23rd August 2012

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 4,5,8 and 14. Two prizes of €50 went to Willie Ward Fintown and Patricia Molloy Kilraine. Next weeks jackpot is €2,800.

The club is holding a 5k Road Race and fun run/walk on Tuesday 28th August at 7pm. The starting point is at the Naomh Conaill clubhouse. Registration is from 6pm. Full changing/shower facilities are available. Tea/refreshments will be served after the race.Anyone wishing to take in some home baking it would be very much appreciated. There will be a bouncy castle at the pitch. Entry fee is Adult €7 under 16’s free. So come along for a great evening of fun.

Congratulations to Kevin Mc Gettigan who was a member of the Donegal U-16 team that recently won the Buncrana cup.

The U-10’s are away in Naomh Columba for the Go Games Blitz this Saturday 25th August at 12 noon. Naomh Columba will host Dungloe, Naomh Mhuire and ourselves Naomh Conaill.

The U-13 game against Aodh Ruadh last week was cancelled due to a bereavement in the Aodh Ruadh club.This Friday 24th August they are away to Bundoran at 6.30pm.

The U-15’s took part in the Og Sport Regional Round last Saturday where they won all their games – Naomh Conaill 3-07 0-04 St Nauls, Naomh Conaill 5-06 2-04 Killybegs and Naomh Conill 5-05 0-04 Four masters to make it through to the final where they met Dungloe. It took extra time to separate them as they finished all square 4-02 each but Naomh Conaill finished the stronger winning 5-10 to 4-11.

The minors are away to Naomh Mhuire this Wednesday 22nd August at 7.30pm in the quarter final second leg of the championship.

Well done to the third team who had a convincing victory over Naomh Ultan in the Junior B Championship. Naomh Ultan 1-04 2-14 Naomh Conaill.

Well done to the senior team who bet Mac Cumhaills 0-14 to 2-14 last Saturday to make it through to the final of the Patsy Brogan Memorial Tournament where they will play either Ardara or Killybegs.

The club would like to wish Anthony, Leo, Dermot, Marty, Jim, Joe and all the Donegal squad the best of luck for this weekends All Ireland semi final against Cork in Croke Park.
