Naomh Conaill Notes 28th October 2011

There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 2,11,12,14. Two prizes of 50 Euro went to Conal Mc Hugh Narin Road and Judeth Crawford c/o Martin Doherty. This weeks jakpot is 8,900 Euro.

Well done to our U13s who have qualified for the Co Final. This was achieved with a good 3-10 to 0-8 victory over the Northern runners-up, MacCumhaills last Monday evening. This game was played under lights in Mac Cumhaill Park in a constant downpour and both sets of players have to be commended for their marvellous efforts in such atrocious conditions.

The first half was a close affair with Naomh Conaill winning by five points at the break, however they gradually got the upper hand as the game progressed and had the better of the exchanges in the second period. They now play St Eunans in the decider which is scheduled for this Saturday 29th. (check Coiste na nOg fixtures for details).

The U13 management and players thank the MacCumhaill club for the very welcome refreshments after the match.

The 3rds are away to Ardara this Saturday evening at 4,30pm. The seniors and reserves are due to play their last league at home to Glenswilly this Sunday. The reserves starts at 1pm followed by the senior game at 2.30pm.

We are hosting our 2nd Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday 12th November in the Highlands Hotel. Tickets will be on sale soon.

We would like to thank everyone who supported Last Man Standing. There were a lot of fallers last week and going into this weekend now there are only 31 left in.

Tickets for the club draw are now on sale at 5 Euro each or 3 tickets for 10 Euro. The 1st prize is 1,000 Euro,2nd prize 42 inch Flat Screen TV, 3rd prize Laptop Computer, 4th prize Digital Camera, 5th prize 100 Euro. The draw will take place on the night of Strictly Come Dancing.
